Hello out there: My family and I (me, my wife and 5 y/o daughter) are eagerly anticipating a 7 day Western Caribbean this February. I have a few questions for this board, and I hope that they aren't too basic for it's obviously well versed members.
1. The itineraries all list 4:00 pm for the first day. Is that the time that the ship leaves port, or is that the time to board? With that in mind I would appreciate a reccomended time to arrive at the port for a minimum of time spent waiting in line.

2. We have reserved a trip to the adventure park in Cozumel. Are there any excursions that you would classify as do not miss?

Any suggestions or answers will be greatly appreciated.

We always arrive at the port between 10:30 and 11:00 am...Once you go through security and up the escalators to check in there are things to do, like meet other Dissers! We are the ones in the lime green shirts. But if you can't find any then chat with anyone and everyone..We are all there to have a magical cruise and most are probably castaway club members (those of us who have cruised with Disney before) Just look for the Castaway Club landyards! Have your picture taken with the characters, go out onto the deck for an upclose view of the ship, check out the model of the ship in the middle of the port.

When its time to board the ship you get in line based off of your number that is given to you when you check in...and speaking of checking in, do as much paperwork via the Disney Cruise Line website. It saves so much time...if you check in online then basically all you will have to do at the counter is show your passport, give them your credit card and get your key to the world card (which is your stateroom key and charging privileges key) No cash transactions!

Then its time for the first picture to be taken of many! Then your 'announced' as you enter the ship and off to lunch you go...You will have all afternoon to check out the ship, enjoy the pools, go to the spa etc...and eat some more!

Mandatory drill is usually around 3ish and don't forget the sail away party!

Can't comment on Conzumel...we have only been on the Eastern Caribbean...

Have fun!
