What do they mean by "style" of the officiants?
means you choose what type of wedding ceremony you're having. civil or religious.

Do they give you the wedding cake?
standerd cake comes with the package, but you can further customize it for additional fee.

Is it really worth it? For me, if I could afford it, I would definately go for it. I mean, how many people can say that they got married in front of cinderella's castle? But as far as I know, DFTW is not doing the Magic Kingdom weddings right now!

Hope that helps,
Jessica

what are the cost of the manicures and pedicures @ GF?
Spa manicure: $55; Spa Pedicure: $65; Spa Mani/Pedi Combo: $110

Do the mad hatter tables look good?
We had modified Mad Hatter tables for my bridal tea. Go here to look at photos from the event. Please keep in mind that the tables on the Wish Book are the floral department having a bit of fun and going all out. Things can be customized to fit within your budget.

Whats up with the great movie ride reception?
Contact "Janet2K". She had a wonderful vow renewal reception that was held at the Great Movie Ride.

Do they give you the wedding cake?
Yes, you can take it home.

THat is a good question about the spa...is there a menu of services anywhere that I could look at for GF? And how awful is the price on the Mad Hatter party?

for the spa there is info & prices here http://www.relaxedyet.com/services.shtml

is magic kingdom really worth it? well its a high minimum $52k plus disney isnt allowing mk weddings right know due to the happiest celebration on earth which ends in november 2006. one cool thing though is as a dftw bride you can have bridal portraits done at the castle for $825 before the park opens with disney photography in your wedding attire.

if youre a custom bride you get room discounts so you wouldnt be able to book a meal package with myw. one thing you can do though is if you get an annual pass or are a florida resident you can buy a dde card & get 20% off most restaurants & 15% off most recreation.

What is a dd&e card and where can i buy it? I already have annual passes. Do u know how much it is?? Thanks@!

Spa: Go to the Nikki Bryan website at www.relaxedyet.com or the www.disneyworld.go.com website, "Resorts" tab, "Grand Floridian", and there is a pDF file in there without prices. The Nikki Bryan website has the prices.

Mad Hatter Tea: I have no idea what the cost is. It was a surprise bridal shower that my Mother-in-Law hosted. Most of the information from it has been closely guarded. Just a little bit of "Disney magic" they told me... :tink:

DDE is Disney Dining Experience. It's open to Florida Residents and all AP holders. With it you get a 20% discount at all Disney restaurants for up to 10 people. With your AP discount, it's $50 and you can get it just by calling the DDE office at (407) 566-5858. There are other benefits as well.

To my knowledge, DFTW is not scheduling MK weddings so long as the Happiest Celebration is going on. That ends this year though, so maybe they'll add them back in. Evidently the minimum is going to go way up (from a relatively small fortune to a large one ;) ). I'm having trouble getting the DFTW site to open the MK info page, but here is the link. Hopefully, it'll start working again. Or maybe it's just my computer. :badpc:

You can say that again! According to the link, the minimum is now $500,000!!!!
Is that what it is? :earseek: I had heard it was going to be huge, but I couldn't get the link to work to confirm.

Wow, what on earth do you buy for the couple having a $500,000 wedding. :rotfl:

I also noticed on the Wish Book that the MK photo shoot is charging you per guest (now how bizzare is that) so my photo shoot was like $7K...I'm thinking...NO...I really think the site is not working correctly. I know things are pretty expensive at WDW, but from $54k to $500K is quite a jump!

I have a funny feeling that it’s not a typo. I think that there is a lot involved with doing a MK wedding/reception, so that’s why the minimums have increased so much. My EM (back in 2003) told me that they only did about 2 a year, and that they typically cost WAY more than the minimum. Since there is so much involved in having a wedding/reception there, I think they really want to limit them to very high budget events. I would imagine that the $500,000 minimum brings the pricing more in line with what a private company might spend to rent out part of the MK for an evening.
