We live in the Indianapolis area and have very little time to vacation this summer. We have 4 days/3 nights. so are looking at a camping trip not far from home (within 5 hours drive would be nice). Some options we are looking at are the Lake Michigan Shoreline, Mammoth Cave National Park, The Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky/Tennessee. Anyone have experience at these locations, or other suggestions? By the way, we are new to camping. Have been in a tent only one other time.

Any of the state parks on Lake MI are absolutely beautiful. Extremely difficult to get a reservation however. I have checked on-line about 10 times a day for about 2 weeks and finally got a reservation for our vacation dates. The closer to the travel, the more likely to get a reservation due to cancellations.. good luck, MI is beautiful.

We live in KY and just came back from a camping vacation in TN. We stayed in a Yogi Bear Campground and had a blast!! There were kids activities planned (free of charge). Yogi visited our campground nightly!! Check out the Yogi Bear Campground website. There are several in Indiana. I heard that the Yogi Bear campground in Fremont Indiana won some kind of award recently.
