Hi!

I'm looking at flights to Orlando next year for my programme so will be flying June 3rd.

At lot of other people on the programme are either flying from Manchester or Gatwick with Virgin into Orlando direct. I havent flown direct for years now so was wondering, whats it like now? Is it as bad as I remember it?

I'm not a huge Virgin fan anyway and think when they offer return flights at 750 they are just a joke as their service is not worth that.

So yeah just generally asking how it is. I don't want an awfully loud flight with screaming kids (although saying that I think all of us doing the ICP will make up for that...) and just generally what you think.

Appreciate any input :)

Jack

I have not paid 750 for flights - think it is too much, but have mainly flown VA from Manchester to MCO as it is more convenient for us.

I think most flights to Orlando will have lots of excited people on them - especially kids. You are probably best going indirect to try and miss the full on experience! I haven't had any particular problems with VA - last time they were very good as we needed special assistance with a wheelchair and the in flight crews were very friendly.

Most flights I think are much of a muchness in economy. Good luck in getting a good price :)

If you don't want screaming kids and can cope with indirect that should be cheaper and suit you better. Our flights we just did Man~Chicago~MCO were mostly business men and students, very few children at all.
We flew PE VA a couple for times since last year, not pleasant for noise levels. The return leg last August was a nightmare, a child screaming about 7 hours nonstop with tooth ache, she just fell asleep as we got to Manchester.
I am not a massive fan of VA but they are direct.

Yeah I havent ever been a VA fan.

Im thinking ill probably do indirect with United from Birmingham so bhx-ewr-mco. We did the transatlantic with them this year then down to Fort Myers for summer and I thought United were good.

Was just wondering people's views. Think ill stick with my indirect!

We always fly VA direct - you would get a sale fare at the start of June if you waited.

Never noticed the noise levels on VA to be bad but we always fly PE.

It depends on your outlook, I have an autistic child and he can get difficult and scream, so I can cope with a child screaming no problem.

Orlando flights are bound to have kids on them, so if you really can't cope with the chance of noise for 9 hours, then I would go indirect.
