So mad...some @#!$%* just hit our new car

I fully feel your pain. I hope you're able to find out who did it, and please update if you do!!

I had my first BRAND NEW car less than 48 hours when my 5yr old son and his 5yr old friend decided to draw X's with rocks on my front bumper! We were at my best friends, I look out the window and ask her "What are they doing?" UGH!

Then on a windy day, I parked way out in the parking lot... of COARSE an SUV parks next to me and bangs up the rear driver's side door. There were several empty places! And do they leave a note? No. I wanted to kick their door!

My mom also had someone dent her driver's side door in a parking lot. Unfortunately it's rusting.

I had my Pacifica for two weeks when Hurricane Isabelle flooded my parents house. We were leaving after having been down to try to help them clean up their house, and I was trying to cautiously back onto the street (there was debris everywhere) when I backed into a mailbox and put a dent in the crease of the backside panel. The whole panel had to be replaced (they couldn't just pull out the dent, darn it)!

Last summer, we had our brand new car for less than 3 weeks....when some college aged girl decided that red lights dont really mean stop and rear - ended me. The total bill was close to $5K and I was without my car for close to 4 weeks.

I wasn't happy, but at least there were no problems dealing with her insurance company and they covered everything without issue.

Yeah, I feel for you. I got a nice couple of scratches on my Saturn only a few weeks after I bought it (waaaaay back in '98). It was on the rear driver side door so I got to look at it and fume every time I drove it! Saturns may not dent, but they sure as heck scratch! It wasn't quite bad enough to bother fixing, but big enough to drive me nuts whenever I looked at it!

About 7 years ago I got rear ended and needed a new bumper. The nice guys at the body shop buffed them out (or whatever it is they do) at no charge while they were putting the bumber back on. So I did eventually get them off my car!

We had a brand new Dodge Intrepid...paid for it with cash...it was a few months old when I got hit and it was totalled . A car driving in the other direction rear ended (really hard) the car in front of them who was stopped to make a left hand turn. I heard the crash and slowed down because of the noise, and the next thing Iknow my car is flying towards a fence and a tree. DS was in the back seat with his gf, (I was driving her home). The car waiting to make the turn stupidly had his wheel turned and because of that he was pushed into my car.

Scary scary scary. AS I saw the tree and fence coming closer, I heard a voice in my head (I swear it was my mom) yell HIT THE BRAKES! I did. Broken glass everwhere, some scrapes and sorness. We were taken away by ambulance to be checked out. All ok, thankfully.

When I looked at the car a few days later where they had towed it, I was shocked we all got out alive, let alone not hurt.

I completely don't blame you! We once had a 3 day old car stolen out of our driveway, so I can certainly relate!

Apparently new cars have signs on them saying please hit me and leave.
Got a brand new camry in June 2007. Moved to a city and within in 2 weeks had paint scraped on the front bumper, paint scraped on the back bumper, and my passenger side mirror knocked out. Fixed the mirror but the bumpers have not been repainted yet.

Not a new car story, but I thought it might give you a chuckle. A few weeks ago I was in the drive thru at McDonalds -- just had to have a fountain coke and some fries that day -- when the car behind me hit me! The older gentleman got the gas and brake confused and hit me. Luckily, it only did some bumper damage...but really?!?...hit in a drive thru?!?!?
