I'm in metro west and seriously wondering if we will have a delay or not. sounds like its going to be very messy out there in the morning.

what do you think?

I am North of the city, near the coast and I am concerned. I have clinical so I am not sure what goes down if there is a snow delay. Not sure if we still go or not. lol.

I think perhaps your area will be worse off then here. You guys always get more snow! I hate winter. I need to move closer to the mouse.

I moved to Southern CA last summer after living my whole life in south central MA. Just curious, are you expecting a huge storm? :cold:

its a fast moving storm, and its supposed to dump snow then change to rain, but sounds like the messiest part is in the morning right around commute time.

guess we'll know soon enough!

how do you like southern ca? I grew up there...have been in new england for 20 years now, so pretty well adjusted at this point, but definitely very different climate wise!

I'm on the south shore and our weather forecast is showing snow early in the morning then turning to heavy rain and heavy winds. DS18 just left to drive to stay with a friend tonight who lives near his school. I'm glad he won't have to travel in that weather tomorrow. DH and I will probably be dealing with a mess when we leave in the morning to go to work but we take less busy roads, not highways like DS does, so I'm not too concerned about us. :cold:

They already cancelled us! Got the call about 1.5 hours ago.

We are North Central MA.

I hope not. DS has a doctor's appt in Boston at 8am tomorrow morning. Yuck.

We should probably get going now. :rotfl2:

I am loving this ...

We just moved to Southern New Hampshire after living in S. Florida for 3 years. I called DH on the way to the store this AM after listening to 103.3 (Christmas Carols!!) and asked if HE knew we were supposed to get snow tonight. I suppose we need to get into the habit of listening to the weather or news again ... :rotfl2:

After 3 years of sunny/chance of rain/high in the mid to upper 70's this is new to us again!!

Welcome back! :cold: :rotfl: (Actually it hasn't seemed too bad until now. We did get stuck in a little snow the other night driving home - our first for the season.)

wow...cancelled! had expected a delay what with it turning to rain. but I'll take it! I was hoping to get a bit more shopping done, but instead we'll play in the snow a bit, decorate the cookies we baked yesterday, and maybe make a long paper chain to decorate with. :)

maybe this afternoon once it changes to rain I can still sneak out for a bit.

stay safe everyone, and enjoy!

I just dropped off my daughter at the bus and drove into work and it was a little bit slippery. I was surprised since we are just getting going with this storm. Keep in mind, I don't mind driving in snow and sometimes actually think it's kind of fun. This is my first winter with the car I'm driving. I hope it handles this weather as well as the last car! Anyways, I do hope this changes over since DH is working and my 82 year old mother is supposed to pick DD up this afternoon. It's one thing for me to be out driving in the snow. I would rather not subject my mom to being out it though.
