Ok, all of this FP+ and MDE business is brand new to me. Now, if I read everything correctly, I cannot book any FP+ until our arrival day is 60 days out. I read in the reeeeally long pinned post that it won't even give you the option on the MDE app until 60 days out.

Ok, so before I read that, I went to the FP+ section of the app to see if I could play around with it. It let me click on "add new FP+" and then brought me to a screen to select guests. All of us were listed, but it said we all needed valid park admission and had a button to link tickets or package reservation. When I did that and plugged in the reservation number, it kept saying it could not find the information. Now, the tickets and room reservation is showing up on the other sections of the app. So, is this normal because I'm not at the 60 day window? Or do I need to call them and make sure it'll be there at that point? I don't want to get on at 60 days only to find I can't book anything :/

See THIS thread, with the same questions.

I read that thread (well not every single post over 213 pages) and I saw that it won't show up, but I didn't see anything about my specific questions where it was "not finding" my reservation info. Is that addressed somewhere?

It just falls under the "not everything shows up" which is basically Disney saying, "if you have booked a package, don't even try until your window opens." Disney really doesn't explain "packages" well. Just trust that @mesaboy2 has the correct info.

Same here!! I called and they explained that it will not work until 60 day mark. They told me not to worry and that was normal....crossing fingers lol

It is normal because the only thing that activates the FP booking area of MDE is valid tickets linked to MDE.

Packaged tickets are not valid until the day you check-in to your resort. It's the "package" that activates the FP booking window and your "package" only activates it when you are 60 days from your check-in date.

There's really no reason to check the FP booking area prior to your FP booking window opening date if you have booked a package.

We have a package booked through our travel agent for May, had the same "must have valid park admission ticket linked" wording when I looked at the FP+ page any time prior to our 60-day booking window (even a few minutes beforehand), even though our room and tickets were linked and showing up in MDE. Our room reservation on MDE says "room only", though we booked the room and tickets at the same time, but the website still apparently recognizes it as a package. Our booking window opened up last Saturday night, and I had no problem booking FP after the clock rolled over to the 60 day mark. Well, except for our internet going down 2 MINUTES BEFORE booking opened. I had to book on my phone using the MDE app, but that went smoothly after we crossed the 60-day threshold. :)
