So, I was not going to do a separate thread on my little picture I took tonight, so I did a mini-trip report on my Photo of the Day post.
BUT.... Due to new "happenings," my mini trip report seems apropos.
I had to go see the letters just one last time before they go away tomorrow (Tuesday).
I called DH at work, told him I wouldn't be home when he got home from the office. He asked why. "The letters are going away tomorrow." Thrilled that there was no explanation needed as to what I was talking about, I continued to explain that I wanted one last set of photos. After it was agreed that we would probably not eat dinner together due to timing, I quietly said, "Or... you could meet me there, take a few pictures for me, and we could go out to eat after." - hold breath - "No, I've had a long day." Booo. That was a non-negotiable reply. We wrapped up the discussion and hung up the phone.
I proceeded to get ready to leave to go to Disneyland, well, DtD to be specific. Maybe if I asked nicely, some other people would take a picture or two of me with the letters. Surely there would be others there snapping final shots.
Then, the phone rang. "We are just taking pictures, nothing else. Then dinner." DH! He was going to meet me! Yippee! And such was my evening. He took a few pictures of me and I attempted to get a few pictures of the letters, which had lots of people surrounding them, all with the same idea. The big surprise of the night? They were candy cane striped just 2 days ago when I was there with friends. Tonight they were back to their "original" look. Someone decided to have our last views of the letters to be a bit nostalgic, I guess.
I hope you like this one... it's my final memory of The Letters.

Jump forward 6 hours. I am lying on the couch, watching late-night TV and catching up on the world. What do I stumble upon on Twitter?

Note: First two pictures with the machinery are showing up on many streams. I don't know the source of the photos. The last one is from MouseWait, clearly.
