So lets say the park closes on July 3rd....due to crowds.

We are arriving at MCO at 10 AM on July 3rd. Was going to book (try to) FP+'s at MK for 2pm/3pm/4pm. If they close the parks for crowds before we get there, are we out of luck??? We have a reservation for dinner at 5 at the Wave followed by Fireworks cruise!

Should I try and change the Wave to a MK restaurant, that way we are guaranteed entry? Does it work that way? Or can we gain entry because we have the FP+'s ???

Thank you for any help with this, I know the parks don't close that often, but I think this day might be one that could.

If you're staying on property, you would only have to worry about a stage 4 closing, and I don't think I've ever heard of one taking place on July 3rd.

I am not sure about most of your questions, but if you can avoid it I would not make park plans on the day of arrival due to unexpected delays etc.... Last trip we almost missed MNSSHP due to an 8.5 hour delay!

Thank you! So that is very helpful to me then!!! We are at the Boardwalk!

I appreciate your suggestion, however, we are a 3 hour non stop flight with no snow in July, so I think we will be ok!

Since the MNSSHP takes place in September and October, snow couldn't have been an issue for DisneyGateway, either. ;) I once got bumped from my non-stop flight to Orlando and got put on one that left 2 hours later with a 2 1/2 hour layover, and ending up getting to WDW 6 hours later than I had planned.

I am sure there are many horror stories about flight delays etc....I am going ahead with my plan, and if my flight is delayed, well then I guess I miss my few hours at Magic Kingdom!

We have flown to Orlando many times and have only once gotten in a couple of hours late, due to thunder storms. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I'm not going to change my plans "in case" it happens!
