i went to the hairdresser last night, and i usually hate to go becuase it sucks up so much time and you just sit there and wait and wait.
but last night after she colored my hair, which is so naturally curly- and i mean curly- i said i wish it were straight. so....... she straighten it!!!! OMG!!!! you should see it! i love it!
dh was like "oh la la!" i said don't get used to it. it will be back to curly as soon as the shower hits it!
but the hairdresser said that she could put a chemical in it so that it would be a little less curly and i could straighten it easier. i'm kinda thinkin' about it!

hows your hair??

About 2 inches of new virgin growth that needs to be colored. Can't have un processed hair on my head. It's just too weird. Makes me think about being pregnant. And the was the worst part. Not being able to color my hair. I know I have non digital photos of that lovely [not] dark hair. Maybe I can find it and scan it. I look pretty young in it, so I don't mind too much to show it. ;)

It is still holding it's shape pretty well. It is a little bit longer in the front and isn't straggly in the back yet. I'm getting it cut & colored next Friday, the one after Thanksgiving. Can't wait to get rid of the roots. :thumbsup2

Do you have a straight iron? I used to use those crinkle ones as a teenager. I think it isn't too hard, just put on the hair close to the scalp and slow pull it down. Now, how long in time that will take, don't know. But it might be worth it for "WOW" factor every now and then.

Yeah, I'm thinking "oh la la" from DH is worth the investment in a flat iron! My son's DGF uses one on her long long hair, and is able to get a nice wave with it by wrapping it somehow. Not so sure about the chemical thing, my hair is pretty straight, so I'm more experienced with perms.

I went and got a trim the other day. Chickened out on anything different, just 2" off the bottom, and layers.

I have a new box of color looking at me every day in the bathroom, but I just haven't done it yet. See, I was all proud of myself that I went back to my natural color. DH had said he didn't care, and I was $120 at the beaury parlor for blonde, or $10 in my bathroom...hmmm...saving money is good, right?

Well, NOW DH says he likes it blonde! Why didn't he say that before? I think it's that he likes to say my hair matches my personality when I'm blonde is all. :rotfl:

I have naturally curly hair that I straighten and I love it! You need to show us your oh-la-la with pictures!

dh was so funny today. we were in the grocery store and he said "oh holl did you see that one? they were checking out how good your hair looks!!! OMG did you see that one? yup that one too. your hair is looking so good that they are all checking you out!!!!"
:rotfl:
ok Dave! real funny!:lmao:
i'm tellin' ya, he's a pistol that one!

I think that is sweet. He noticed others noticing you.

By they way, my two layers are cut. I'm waiting for the pigment ink to dry so I can run the one layer through the Xyron and then I'll punch them. I should have the two groups done before I go to bed. :thumbsup2

Hi. I also have curly/wavy hair, so when we hit the states(I am from Ontario) I buy the home straightening kit from Meijers or Walmart. I think its under $8.00,it last a few months, enough to keep updaiting the treatment. Then I also have a CHI.
Boy my hair life is easier and simple.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Holly, that is hysterical! We need to get you a good flat iron and you will be set!:thumbsup2

yup that's what i need! i'm putting it on my santa list!!!

PO3, your DH sounds fun!:lmao:

I have straight hair so don't know anything about straightening it. I don't want mine any straighter than it is!:goodvibes I hope Santa brings you the flat iron for Christmas!

Po3, ask the girls who have met me. I have super duper curly hair. In the summer, I look like a flippin french poodle, I don't even bother blow drying it. But come the cooler months. I blow it straight and use hair serum on it. I used to use Clinique hair serum, now I use BioSilk hair serum. I got it from my hair dresser but I noticed CVS had it for sale. After I blow dry my hair I put a little bit of that on my hair, it smooths it and doesn't frizz. My hair stays super straight. I recommend you check it out!:thumbsup2

And I am certain people were checking you out. :)

oh Lisa I am so checking that out at cvs this week!
but you have no idea how stinky curly my hair is. it's a bloody curse i tell ya!

thanks for the tip!

I can only bet your hair is as curly as mine. We will have to meet up and compare.

The key to getting it straight for me is a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I use the Bed Head Moisture Maniac- it does wonders to my normally frizzy gross hair. I have naturally curly super thick hair- like seriously thick. This stuff works wonders on my hair.
