is the snow, anyways? :confused3
i'm thinking maybe i'll load everybody up and go on a little road trip saturday! i'm in southwest florida. so, if i just drive north on I75, i wonder how long it would take 'til i'd hit snow? :confused3 i haven't been up north in 17 years and my kids have never seen snow. i don't want the blizzard, but would love to get into enough for them to have a good time!!!

I was surprised when family in NW Louisiana (Shreveport) said they were getting snow today. (not that you want to go all the way to Louisiana!)

Prediction is parts of South Georgia may see snow. I think Northwest may get some too. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get a little bit.

I am in Bonita so I would love for it to come this far but that is probably wishful thinking:confused3

Pensacola is supposedly getting some tonight or tomorrow.

Well, I'm on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. If you walk about 50 yards from my house you are into the Gulf of Mexico, so about as far South as you can get in this state. Our schools just got cancelled for tomorrow and the weather is predicting about 3 inches of snow south of I-10, more the further North you go. So this is unprecidented for our area!

To see anything sticking to the ground, probally as far as north of Atlanta.

actually we are predicted to get 2-4 inches..i know thats nothing to yall up north but for us its pretty exciting :-)

Everytime there is a cold snap I calculate how far south we'd need to move to avoid it. So far North Fla is the minimum distance we'd need to move. Obviously Central Fla. would be even better.:earsboy:

I heard the same. I read Footsforcast.org and they mentioned something about Pensacola being under winter storm watch. Crazy!

this is the prediction for Northwest Florida/South Alabama:

They said it was supposed to start around midnight, but it's 1am here, and so far - nothing. Also, it's 35 degrees here. But all that could change by morning.

Okay, I checked for an update on the Weather Channel. Now they're saying it will be here by 2am, and the temp will drop to 26 by then. So, we shall see...

Oh wait - from 9am-1pm tomorrow, there is a 100% chance of snow! That's not a prediction we get often! Usually it's in the 35-50% range! It's supposed to snow until 8pm tomorrow. They predict 2-4 inches! Wow!

It is officially snowing in Columbus Georgia. Now legs see if we get what they are predicting which is 2-6 inches. Like i said that's pototaoes for yall up north but my kids are super excited. Wish I could be home with them

I'm in North Carolina and it's astonishing to know that I may actually be too far NORTH to see snow.....how crazy is that???? We are right on the line of a dusting to 1-2 inches....it could go either way.

That is ironic. Still snowing. And even faster. It sure is pretty

I'm guessing you'll need to drive at least up to Gainesville or Lake City on I-75 to have a good chance, possibly turn west on I-10 towards Tallahassee. Might make it further east or south, but the chances get smaller and smaller in those directions.
