I currently have 2 rooms booked at ASMu for 5N 6D. I am using the 30% discount. We have 2 adults and 3 children going. We have adjoining rooms.
I am buying my tickets 6 Day park hoppers through Undercover tourist.

I have been playing with the numbers on the gift card deal and am wondering if I can book the rooms seperate and get 2 $300 cards. I could then use the card to upgrade my tickets purchased through Disney when I arrive to park hoppers. If my math is right I would come out with $325 in gift cards to use on whatever.

So my question is Can I book one package under me and the other under my wife? Will is still be possible to get adjoining rooms?

Yes, you would book the two rooms, each with a different lead name, and still request CONNECTING ROOMS (not adjoining). You would then receive 2 gift cards for a total of $600. You can also only purchase a 5 day ticket on the reservation, and then upgrade it to the additional days (if you want 6 rather than 5) and the park hopper at the gate. The cost to upgrade the tickets for 5 people should be about $275 if you swap to a 6 day from the 5 day, leaving you with $325 in gift cards. I've run the numbers, and for a 5 night stay, the GC is the better offer (you do pay more up front, but if you subtract the value of the GC's then it is a few bucks cheaper).

You should be able to just modify the existing reservation, rather than do a full cancellation/rebook. Call the CM's and let them know you want to add tickets & see about swapping to the GC offer.
