So, is one day (two nights) in July worth it?

I was awake until 2am thinking about this! Now, experts tell me should I proceed?

We are planning a trip to Disney's Vero Beach in July (We've never been there, but with the AP rate and dh is always saying he would like a trip to the beach for more than a short trip, so I thought this would be perfect!). Well, both dh and I will be celebrating our birthday that week and my mind began to wander to the WORLD! This will be the big 40 for me, and I would love to celebrate at Disney.

What I am thinking about doing is getting our last two nights extended to drive up to Orlando and stay onsite for the night before and of our actual birthday. Then spending the day at MK on our birthday (a Saturday) so we can see Spectro and Wishes.

Do you think it is worth it to just stay 2 nights and spend our birthday in the MK?

Also, if we do this, should we splurge and stay deluxe or stay moderate?

If I had just one day in Disney, I would do it. As long as you go into not thinking you will see everything, you should have a great time.

July is a pretty busy month, however, that doesn't mean it will be slam packed, unless you plan on being there for July 4th weekend.

I would expect lines, use Fast Pass when available and have fun. It would be the perfect end for your trip, and a birthday celebration!!

Absoulutely!!

I'd splurge and go for the deluxe hotel. That could be a big part of your birthday experience.:teeth:

Maybe stay at the Poly with a lagoon view and request view MK, or the CR tower and request MK view. Then even if you don't get to see much during the day, you can spend your evening staring at the awesome castle!

Go for it, and happy early 40th birthday!:cake:

Thank you both for responding! I just am sooooo excited to think about being at Disney on my big birthday! :cheer2:

jelebeene - It will be the 16-18, so I luckily will avoid that 4th rush (hopefully!). I'm definitely thinking fastpass and limiting what I want to do to my top 4-5 so everything else is "gravy". You are so right about it being the perfect end to our trip! :sunny:

disneyfam - Love the idea about Poly or CR with the view of the castle! How perfect for the Friday night! We could even catch the Electrical Water Pageant that way! Oooohhh I'm hoping dh will go for this! Thank you for the birthday wishes and the cake! :earsgirl:
