So, is it just me, or isn't the 90 day thing working well?

Does anyone find that the DDE is a better value than the DDP?

I have thought about dropping DDP this year and getting DDE...

For us it is a FAR better value to use DDE. Like I said before, DS eats NOTHING. Last year we had DxDDP, which was $210 per day for the 3 of us. Now add those lovely NON-included tips, at least $50 per day. Now tell me we would spend MORE than $260 PER DAY if we were paying out of pocket! :scared1:

We LOVE signature dinners, but even going signature every day we wouldn't have spent that much. DS will order an appetizer (he loves calamari) and then eat a kid's entree this year and we will come out WAY ahead. We plan to grab a light breakfast in the concierge lounge, eat a normal counter lunch, and do mostly signature dinners. At the end of the trip I am POSITIVE we will come out better than we did last year. The refillable mugs and snack credits aren't that much of a bonus - DH bought like 16 bottles of water last year because our credits were expiring. We never drank the water, and we couldn't bring it on the plane. It was just kind of silly.

We always tipped 20% on the full cost of our DDE meals. So now we save 2%. :rotfl2: There will be exceptions where we tip in addition to the included 18%, such as Yactsman and Flying Fish. :)

:confused3

What's so wrong with a 90 day reservation window? Everyone still has the same opportunity to book, right? I mean, I can see if you're a WDW reservation taker (for lack of a better title), it might suck a little, but for me, a vacation planner, hey, it gives me a couple more months to get my act together.

I personally thought that the 6 month booking window was a bit ridiculous. Talk about being up a creek if you didn't make dining plans until *gasp* four months out.

I was only kidding about Manuel's O'Mike, but that's really too bad! :guilty:

Not sure what you mean ConcK, but I'll give it another try.

Bonefish. My wife's mother won't eat there because of the name.

We wanted a resort character meal because of the little one that will be with us. That, and my wife's family has to be the single most fussiest group of people to try and feed, ever! A buffet is about the only real solution.

And no, we aren't going to Golden Corral.

Keep trying. We were able to get every ressie I had on my wish list. BTW, Bonefish, is EXCELLENT! Just had our 1st experience there and the food was out of this world! :thumbsup2

I might also add with any party over the size of six, you may have better luck breaking the ressie into two different ones.

You have 7 in your party, so ask them if they have anything for a party of 4 and 3. They will tell you that you probably wont be seated together, but 9 times out of 10 you will be seated at one table, or two tables next to each other.

We have DVC and attempted to use the 90 + 10 for WDW resort guests(staying at AKV) - Okay so I call (actually 1st call was to attempt an Illuminations cruise) - And thought GREAT I can check for all our vacations days:goodvibes - NO we couldn't NOT because you can't use the 90 + 10 for specialty cruises OH NO - because I was not in the system AT ALL - NO RESSIE for us! - A manager even and I quote "used a backdoor method" and still no ressie at ANY WDW resort for us :headache:

When I called MS on the Tuesday after Memorial Day MS informed me that the 2 systems don't talk to each other and that the reservation folks for ADR/cruises etc CAN'T see my ressie then I asked well doesn't this give ALL other WDW resort guest an advantage over DVC members? - And they said well you can just call us for the ressies - OH sure 2 hours later than the other WDW resort guests can call - Try getting a Fantasmic package after thousands of other guest have had 2 hours to call and obtain these:scared:

Okay so do I think the 90 day window works - no worse or better than the 180 day window

BUT the 90 + 10 DOESN'T work IF you booked with DVC

Also have to agree that free dining definately doesn't help matters much

I also emailed DVC and complained about the above and got a lovely phonecall stating they value my opinion and this was most certainly going to be addressed(2 systems not talking to each other)

Sorry you're having trouble with your ADR's

I know it's not a character mel but I really like Cape May's buffet dinner. My Mom's super fussy and she liked it as well. :thumbsup2

My ADR window is in two weeks! I hope things have gotten settled by then.

Mine is coming up too and I am a bit worried about it actually.

I had this same problem, and I was able to get the character meal at the Swan/ Dolphin's Garden Grove. The place was EMPTY and the buffet was pretty good. You have to book through their website. Try there!

Picture!!!!! We want a picture!!!

I posted it on FB! Did you miss it?

Here is a picture from that day. My nail tech took it immediately after my hair appt!

Cleavage :-) Notice that is what is in focus

Well, you dont exactly need much details on them... :lmao:

Yeah, she wasn't sure how to take the picture with that "crazy iPhone"... besides, out of focus is actually the Portuguese soft focus!

WOMAN! You look HOT!!!

Way to go Jenn!!! :thumbsup2

I've found it very difficult to take a steady shot with the iPhone. The slightest move and it's blurry. It does create some interesting effects and pics.
