So how do you figure savings? If you were going to pay full price for room(s) and pay for tickets and buy a photobook and pay for a dining plan, then your "savings" would be the amount of the dining plan? You can't "save" money on something you weren't going to pay for in the first place, can you?

I can figure it out because I was booked at CBR w/ DDP and was going to pay that amount. I changed to the new promotion and my total is now $190 less than I was going to pay with the 35% off PIN. So yes, it is truly a savings. I'm getting the exact same thing I was before + the photobook and it's costing me $190 less. Same thing with the other room that has my grandparents and parents in it. They are getting the exact same thing + the photobook and it's $750 less than they were going to pay. Pure savings!

Minus the cost of the book $90.90 (which doesn't bother me all that much)

Total savings: $748.89!!!!

Well, I hadn't already booked, but had been playing around looking at rack rates for Labor Day Weekend (4 nights including the 1st.) We have AP's, so the 2 day minimum park tickets are a bonus (that will come in really handy in December when we come in for a weekend just to see the Xmas decorations, AFTER our AP's have expired.) And here is the bigger bonus - I don't know why, but by booking our Airtran airfare with Disney as part of our package, it's $60 cheaper than Airtran direct. I should also note, I probably wouldn't have gotten a Photobook. But I'm still saving over $500, even if I pull out the cost of the Photobook.

One more thing, we are DVC members. We're going to stay at CSR this trip, which is a resort I always wanted to try before we joined DVC. I have 2 kids who will be 10 and 13 when we travel. I'd be hard pressed to get the DDP for them if I were paying OOP. I'm just thrilled about this offer - we get one more trip out of our AP's and those extra tickets for for December.

Our total savings is $611.88 - 4 nights DDP x 3, or $551.88, plus the $60 savings on airfare.

Wow, lots of savings out there for some of you!!!! We booked 2 rooms at POP in Feb & was so waiting & hoping for free dining!!! Well turns out we already have the best deal.
1 room with 1 adult 2 kids with regular dining plan on the Kids Stay & Play
for 4 nights: 934.91
Same room with 'free' Q/S would be: 1193.41....so that's +258.50
upgrade to basic ddp: 1237.41...so that's +302.50

2nd room with 2 adults/1 child(AP holders) with regular ddp/no tickets for 4 nights: 826.13
Same room with 'free' Q/s & minimum 2tkts: 1001.70...so that's + 175.57
upgrade to basic ddp: 1089.70...so that's + 263.57

So we are much better off with our current deals.

Our savings will be around $470. I had budgeted $560 for the two of us to dine on for 7 nights and now with free dining I only had to add the photo book to the package so now I have $470 in my pocket that I wouldn't have and a photo book that I wouldn't have and it's a win-win situation. I was originally planning going in Nov but now with free dining plus resort rates are less then too than in Nov, it's hard to not change my trip accordingly and take advantage of the offer. It IS a fantastic deal.
