I used Veet with the faux razor (or bladeless razor if you will). I was happy with the results, but let me clarify a few things:
1. It is exactly like Nair, complete with the unpleasant stench. The foam itslef has a distinct chemically stink, and once the hair starts "melting" (which is essentially what the chemical does) boy does it stink.
2. It is labor intensive and time consuming. You CANNOT leave the foam on for more than, I believe, 6 minutes max, though you can start scraping it off after 3 minutes. So you can only lather up one leg at a time and generally once section (say below the knee) at a time.
3. It's wicked messy.
4. The stink stays with your for a few hours after...even after showering, and it makes your hands feel weird (though I washed them immediately after applying it to my legs).
5. Watch out for unpleasant reactions to the lather. My legs itched badly and I don't normally have any reaction to any chemical. IOW, try it in a small DISCREET location before using it on your whole leg!
6. One can was only enough to do both of my legs ONE time. I'm 5' 7 1/2"
The good:
1. The Stuff WORKS!
2. It lasted about 4-5 days before I noticed any stubble.
3. It did leave a distinct "silkiness" to my skin, but I suspect that it's because anything strong enough to melt hair was probably burning off a layer of skin and leaving a whole new fresh layer behind!
4. No razor cuts or bumps.
