So I just setup my FP+ for the 1st time....

And it went surprisingly well. I planned on being up at midnight but said to heck with it and decided to just make them when I woke up. I was able to select my 3 for each day and go in and modify for the times that I needed. There was availability for everything except night time fireworks. Was able to grab 7DMT on 2 separate days. I don't need an A&E but there was availability. The whole process went smoothly. I even did it on my phone while in bed. Hopefully it will go this smoothly when we are actually in the parks in 60 days.

Thank you! I think you will be fine. I was surprised about fireworks and parades being gone already. I dont know if I would have gotten up at midnight if it would have made a difference. Good luck in January!

Doing mine daily at 30 days, with my morning coffee. As busy as that 2nd week on November is supposed to be, I got everything I wanted at good times (was not looking for a & e or 7dmt). One more day to go but I am happy and well rested.

I didn't have any issues waiting until morning for our FP+ for Thanksgiving week either. Granted I wasn't looking for A&E or 7DMT but there appeared to be availability for both if I wanted them. The only think gone that I might have taken was a FP for MSEP however I did get one for Wishes the night before Thanksgiving which is an EMH day so no complaints.

Glad everything went smoothly for you. We did get the day and evening parade. I grabbed them without realizing how hard they are to get them.

But all in all, I had an awful time, took me hrs. And it wasn't like I trying to juggle different rides on different days. The system just wouldn't work right. Wrote to disney, got a phone call about a week later. Missed the call but it was something like this "I looked at your account and see you got all your FP+, so everything is ok. If you still want to call my number is.........." I was upset at the call. So all the IT issues didn't matter since it all worked out in the end. So I did call and got "well thank you for your imput'. I really really felt like she was reading from a script.

I think there is always too much hoopla about how bad it is. I've never had any problems getting what I want, but I don't want SDMT, A&E or even TSMM. I do get TSMM if DS is going with me and have never had a problem getting it. I never book 30 days out, if I book in advance it's a week out, I usually book the night before, I think things might tend to open up as people are cancelling. I've never gotten the 4th one so can't say how those go, I've never really needed them, have even switched around the 3 through out the day since I've been able to walk on or do standby for some that I've booked.

I did mine last night at 11 pm (we are central). It was horrible! It took me 2.5 hours where it should have taken me 15 min. System kept logging me out then taking forever to get back in.
Should have waited til this morning!

Nice to read that! I had the same experience and I forgot and missed the time to start making FP reservations. I think it was a few days later that I saw the email. Whoops. Ended up being just fine. Got all the stuff we wanted and was able to go in and modify some stuff about a week later. It was hassle free for me.
After reading all the drama I was pretty sure it was going to be a crazy mess. Then I spaced the entire thing, and it worked out anyway.
Last week I went in to change something and there were a lot of Tier 1 things available. We'll be there Nov 6-13.

I say good luck and don't worry so much. It works out!!!
