So I was watching Twilight (I needed me some Jacob Black, and I can't wait for New Moon to come out, ahh!) and when they're in the garage and Alice and Jasper are about to take Bella, Edward says "... and keep your thoughts to yourself."

Why would he say that? Like wouldn't he want to know what was going on with Bella and them while they were down there? Because I know he can read minds and such. Argh so confusing. Thanks

Lol! Well period blood smells absolutely repulsive, so that could be it. Haha that bugged me for a while too. There's a lot of odd shennanigans that I don't get from the storyline. Like little quirks. Like the period thing.


ETA: It was probably me who brought it up, if you saw it on here. Like right after I read it, that was my only question. Haha I remember like a ton of people agreeing with me.

Edward said that because Alice had a vision of Bella becoming a vampire, and she thinks its going to happen, and she wants oto tell Bella because she see's them being best friends. So Edward tells her not to talk about her thoughts/opinions with Bella around.

I think Stephenie answers the period question on her website. I just cant remember th anaswer

Edward was with her for a while before she transformed so he did deal with a few periods.
