It might be silly.
But I had to share. We had to cancel our last trip to WDW. While Ive been on Mat leave with two kids its been harder to stay a float so we canceled our trip that should have happened in Feb. Well Im back to work next week and my work doesnt top up at the beginning, but at the very end. Sooo, Ive been able to get some new clothes for work, get the kids daycare re-settled and start to plan our vacation...
We plan on going next Feb. By then DD will be able to walk and talk and DS will be almost 5 and hopefully a bit more adventure filled for going on rides.
However with the dollar being at par right now I wanted to make sure we got some headway on our trip. So Ive been saving and putting away money and I ordered on the weekend some disneygift cards for the family for birthday's etc coming up.
Basically Ive got about half of our reservation saved on gift cards. Now sitting in our safety deposit box at the bank.
DH has no clue. Its my little suprise for him when its our wedding anniversary in sept. Hopefully by then the trip will be fully paid for and its just air fare at that point.
Poor guy has worked so much overtime while Ive been off with DD. He has not taken a vacation and really needs one. If I could get us away in Sept I would. But I dont think my work will let me go on Vacation a few shorts months after returning from LOA.
But I did have some hurdles to jump to get GC's for WDW. They are good on WDW vacation packages. But you can only order them from WDW's site or by calling 407wdisney. The ones on Disneystore.com while they can be used on WDW vacation packages for some reason can't be sent to Canada.
