So I don't think I understand this!!

It's all the same elements for 2009. At least they didn't take anything away from the package... I wonder if the narrowing price gap between Escape weddings and the Wishes minimum will increase the number of Wishes weddings. :cutie:

This was actually part of my thinking. When I first started looking into doing a Disney VR I was looking at the escape but I knew I wanted to upgrade my cake, I wanted a DP, and wanted floral and since we would still have to have a dinner and stuff. With the cost of all of that I would have been up to the $10,000 min. anyway so why not go for a real reception since I didn't have one for my first wedding. And that was before the price increase. I just hope they don't increase the min for 2010 or I might have to do some reconsidering.

Thanks guys! I am so stupid! I never thought to look at the year section of the date on the bottom of that page!!

Major DUH moment!!

You are not stupid! ;)

I am sure, as much as I love Disney, that there are some things they prefer to be nearly unnoticable. Why draw attention to something that may turn somebody off, right?

Unfortunately, since I do love Disney, it wouldn't stop me anyway! :rotfl2:

Hmmm, I thought so, can anyone confirm??

I thought you could book at 12 months out (ie call on that day, and then they would send you out a contract to sign and request for deposit).

It's good to know that it seems they honour prices at time of booking, I thought this would be the case, let's just hope their isn't a new clause in the contract! ;)

I called DFTW mid April to book my VR for 2009. The person who answered the phone took some details of what I wanted, and said that a WC would call me back within three days. I got a call THE SAME DAY from Doreen, who confirmed that my date, time and location were all available and would be provisionally booked for me. As 2009 pricing wasn't available at that time, I couldn't sign a contract yet. Doreen told me that she would be in touch again as soon as pricing details were released. I got a call from her on April 30th and she confirmed the 2009 prices and took note of my reservation number for the required hotel stay. She asked if I had any questions, but I couldn't think of anything immediately LOL, and just asked if the APs were still included.

I few minutes after that phone conversation, my contract was emailed to me for signature and return (snail mail) by May 21st. We printed it off and returned it immediately with the $750 deposit. I emailed Doreeen to let her know it was on its way and she will email me as soon as it arrives. :goodvibes

Needless to say, I am excited and can't wait for a planner to be assigned to me asap!
