So I booked through AAA...

...and I just remembered, while I was at work and couldn't stop what I was doing to call it in, about five minutes before my AAA office (and it looks like all the AAA offices in the Chicago club) closed, that my balance is due tomorrow. Unfortunately AAA offices in Chicago seem to all be closed on Saturdays. Is there anything I can do? I hate not owning my reservation and being able to do everything online at any time, but I was hoping for a discount (which they can't offer alongside free dining, you get one or the other) and I was interested in the special viewing area for Wishes (which was booked up by the time I had my agent look into it) and the retail discount card. It seems I made a bad choice, but I'd rather not mess up my honeymoon reservations because my AAA office is closed on the day my payment is due!

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you try calling disney? Just because you booked through AAA, I thought you could still pay it off directly with disney. Give disney a call and have your form of payment ready. Don't use the automated system, talk to a person.

You should still be OK. Word is that disney doesn't really cancel your reservation until around 30 days out. Not 45 like they say. I don't have personal experience with this though. Just information I've see on the boards.

I don't think Disney will let you do anything to your ressie. Only your AAA agent can touch it. That being said Disney can note that you need an extention. I know they have a grace period and I don't believe they cancel until 30days out.

One time a few years back we were in DL when our payment was due for WDW.(I know... what an amazing time both parks in less than 6 weeks) anyhoo, I totally forgot to pay before we left, as we usually don't do a package. We were probably 5-7 days late and they didn't have any issue with it.

I think it depends on AAA branch/location and maybe reservation type. In 2009, we booked through AAA, but disney was happy to take our money.

As long as you pay by your 30 day mark, you're fine.

Thanks everyone. I contacted Disney, and as I predicted, they could do nothing for me. I called AAA yesterday (Monday) and they went ahead and applied the payment for me (even still had the CC on file that I used for my down payment) and they didn't so much as mention a late pay penalty for paying at day 43 instead of 45.
