I would like to know if bringing some food in the parks were allowed. We're on a budget and I don't think we could eat in restaurants twice a day !!

They do check bags as you enter, but they're looking for anything that might be a security risk. We snuck cookies and crackers in last time, the guards saw it but didn't say anything. I don't think I would try to bring in a fully loaded cooler, tho!

I wouldnt bring in spam, you might be looked at funny

I have taken in food many times. I pack a shoe box, ( the plastic kind with the plastic lid) at the bottom of my backpack with my sandwiches, applesauce and gel packs. I then put what I need for the day on top. Dont forget U can get free ice water from any counter service restaurant. So bring those crysal lights to make drinks. Although enough ice and the water isnt as bad as some say. I then purchase some fries or a side salad and split between us (usually two of us).

As I usually ride an ECV this isnat that heavy to carry on the back of the evc I dont put between my legs as when I stop short it moves. LOL

You will have no problem bringing in food. The only thing Disney will not allow you to bring in is anything in a glass bottle or alcohol.

Many a time I have seen people carrying around huge coolers with enough food for the entire cast of the magic kingdom!

personally, I wouldnt bother. You can eat pretty cheaply counter service in the parks, and if you are clever you can get some good interesting stuff (not just burger and fries) - or why not eat a GOOD breakfast prior to entering the park, and either eat a counter service meal later on in the day or have a snack in the park, and eat offsite on the way home? We often do that - as we never need two meals a day at Disney. breakfast, snack and dinner is usually plenty for us!

When I was younger we always brought lunch in. PB&J, chips, and snacks. We froze juice boxes if someone brought a lunch meat sandwich. Never had a problem but that was before they checked bags. I went last December and brought granola bars and such in my purse and never had problems. It helps save a little money and then you can have a nice TS meal for dinner!!!

I bring a small cooler with waters, lunchables for the kids, and a bag full of snacks. They dont care - they are only looking for weapons and other threats. I figure I save at least $20 a day on snacks and especially water. I freeze one or two to keep everything else cold.

Just got back today and I will tell you that I saw several people carry in small lunchtote type bags with food in them.. The security guard laughed afterwards as one of them was in front of me and he said he gets hungry sometimes looking thru those bags because of the food :rotfl2: so that would lead me to believe that maybe they dont say anything.. I know I saw several people pull sandwiches and stuff out and sit at tables..

Hi, We take a small cooler ever time we go to WDW. We usually pack enough for 1 meal a day (we stay at the parks all day long). We have never had a problem. Do try to be considerate to the paying customers & not take up table space over them. We never had a problem because we ate at off times. Sbella

my DD is very picky and it kills me to pay the prices for the uncrustables ( which she loves) They pack rreally well so think time i think i am going to take a few in the parks with me.
