this weekend? We are heading that way on Saturday and my kids are looking forward to some snow!

But seriously, how is the weather? This will be the coldest weather my kids have ever experienced. We are coming up because my husband has a class...so we decided to make a trip out of it. Just curious!

Well, we just had a snowstorm yesterday! It's supposed to snow more a little more on Saturday. I think it's supposed to be 17 on Saturday, which is warm compared to what we had last week! It was 25 last Sunday and it felt like a heat wave :rotfl:

The Auto Show is going on until this weekend! They might enjoy that. :goodvibes

Cold but ok. Trust me, there will be LOTS of snow for them to see. :rotfl:

If you are by the city, may I recc. renting ice skates and skating in Millenium Park. Right in the heart of the city and very beautiful and fun.

Have a great time!

It is very cold right now. Bring your winter gear - scarves, hats, gloves, boots, extra socks - if you are going to do any walking. If you are staying downtown it can get very, very breezy near the lake. There is still a LOT to do in Chicago in the winter! Have a great trip!!!

may I suggest a nice indoor mall or perhaps one of the museums? :rotfl2:

definately bring boots.

Thanks to you ALL! My kids just THINK they have seen snow! All they have seen is little ice pellets!!! They are going to freak out. We've already gotten super warm parkas, scarves, gloves, etc. We'll have to grab some boots.

My brother used to live in Chicago, so he warned me...but I thought, with all this weather, I'd like to check in with current Chicago residents! Ice skating sounds like FUN!!!

Have a good time and keep warm!!!! I don't know how old your kids are but we really enjoyed the aquarium. It's a do-not-miss in my book. The Science and Industry Museum is great too. Go to Gino's for some pizza. :thumbsup2

My kiddos are 13 and 11. They are museum freaks, so we will definitely be doing museums. High on the list are the Science museum and the Art Institute. My brother said Giordano's was good pizza, but we will certainly look into Gino's. Any other dining suggestions? We aren't ritzy people, but we do like good food!
