So how "worth it" is the new Peter Pan queue?

Like is it "skip the fastpass and head straight there after rope drop" worth it? I'd really like to check it out but I don't want to be in line for an hour. Could we get fastpasses and still check out the interactive queue?

The FP queue skips the interactive portion.

As for worth, I suggest finding an online video of it and judging for yourself.

Are you a giant fan of Peter Pan? If so, totally worth it. Just looking at photos online brings my eyes to tears. If not... then maybe not.

I do love Peter Pan, and my DD loves all things Neverland related as well. So I'm leaning towards rope dropping it. I just don't want to rush over and be let down! I've seen some pics and it looks neat though.

It's gorgeous!!! I dislike long lines, but I can definitely see myself standing around in the new PPF queue for 45 minutes without complaint ;)

RD or last thing at night, just before closing. I plan on doing both next week.

Came here looking for a thread on this topic. :-) My April trip will be the first time I have ever considered PP without FP, but I really want to see the queue. Just not sure how long we can expect the rope drop wait to actually be.

Rope drop this week (low crowds) was walk on. By the time we got off, wait was posted at 20 minutes and it just went up from there. Worth seeing it once but I would not wait 45 minutes for it.

We went one day when we had time - asked the CM if we could go look at the new queue area and then abandon ship - he looked at us like we were nuts but said it was fine. Ended up having a great time in there and did stay to ride (we had a FP for it for later but just changed it to something else). It is really cute and IMO well worth a visit if you have time.

Thanks for the info.

Somone reported on another thread that they went to PP at Rope Drop and were not allowed to use the interactive queue yet because the ride was a walk-on. So I was thinking that maybe we should go to PP second.

But we don't want to wait 20 minutes either, so if we can go through the interactive queue right after Rope Drop that seems better.

Hmmm.....decisions, decisions!! :crazy2:

We rode it second during early EMH rope drop and the line took about 15mins. So basically perfect.

But I would not wait 30+ just for the new interactive line.

I'll add that we were at the back of the rope drop crowd and did not race back there. We also stopped for pictures at the castle. Maybe the first few groups through didn't get to do the queue but it seemed like everyone was going that way in front of us.

Again, thanks for the info.

Hmmm.. maybe a nice leisurely stroll down Main Street after Rope Drop is the way to go on this.

That would be a new experience for us!

It is a very nicely done addition to a classic ride. I went through right at closing. I wasn't going to do it but made it through 7DMT quicker than expected. I wouldn't wait in an hour long line just to see the queue. But, it would make a 20-25 minute line "enjoyable" or at least bearable.

So it's only for people not using FP I take it? How bad is the wait normally for Peter Pan in summer? My kids are HUGE fans.

Yes, FP+ ers will miss the queue.

How bad is the wait in summer? About 20 degrees worse than the wait in winter.... in other words: long, long, long (and hot!) But maybe air-conditioned now?

Without FP+, if you don't do PP within the first hour of opening, you can generally expect a wait of 40 minutes or more.

When we were there in December, only a short portion of the new queue was open at rope drop, so we missed most of it. Crowds will dictate how soon it is all open.
