since im going to be a freshman in a school with 4000 plus kids.. im scared the upperclassmen will kill me the first day, im scared i will forget my locker combo, im scared that ill get super lost... im scared of a lot of things, its a new school so i have no clue where anything is. im also scared of what my schedule will be since i possibly will have no electives the first half of school... it will be all math, science, social studies and english and those are the classes with the most homework.

dont worry about the locker and the uperclass i mean why would they pick on u out of all the other kids? i cant wait till high school next year im going in to 8th i have to wait till 9th but any who i go to the biggest school distict in the country we have 8 elementery , 4 middle , 2 high schools and they squeez as many kids in as posible lol but its really fun

wow! thats a ton of kids.
as far as the upperclassmen... im really hoping their nice. My sister is 21 and she works with some seniors and they all said that ther not mean and wont pick on the freshman, but all the others? im pretty tall for my age so hopefully i blend in with the sophmores, and maybe even juniors lol. Im still kind of worried about it, my friend whose going to be a sophmore was like, attacked her first day of school. she was pushed into walls by football players [strong] and like scratched and stuff. And its going to be really intimidating. Hopefully all this is just the first day if it happens.

I start the 27th. I took a tour of the school, its really really nice, but the only people I know, are in sixth and seventh grade there and well..I'm not.

I'm excited, im a sophomore this year so im not new. I'm a bit nervous because im taking 3 APs and my other classes are for seniors.

I start on the 5th but I am only nervous about my grades. Last year I felt like fooling around and my grades weren't as good as they could be. But I really can't wait for my sophomore year. The Pep Rally is going to be awesome this year.

I'm nervous just about starting High School in general.

I think I am getting these nervous vibes because I just don't feel well today and when I don't feel well I tend to panic and get nervous about stuff that I am normally okay with.

Holy cow! 4,000+? I thought 1700+ was alot but wow, thats nothin compared to your school!

yeah, thats four grades combined though. haha. 1700 is a lot too. When i hear stories from my cousin who lives in a super small city in south dakota who has 100 kids in like 3 grades combined i just laugh. then she asks how much i have and her face goes;

There's roughly 1200 people who go to my school.
But that's basing it on my grade 8 class (which is rather large compared to the other schools).
100 kids x 3 schools x 4 grades.
But you've got substract those who aren't going to the school.
And add the ones that are from other schools (other schools= the ones that aren't don't feed to the high school) and the ones that moved from another town/city.

Im also scared about my grades. I think I'll od ok in everything BUT math. I dont find math easy, fun, or entertaining. I struggle with it year after year after year. I'm known for A's and 1 B. And that B bounces back between science and math. But I'm getting better in science.....I think. Its math I need to worry about. Grrrrr. Stupid numbers!

Let's just say orientation was absolutely dreadful.
They took us through the whole highschool at 70 miles an hour.
Nobody knows where their classes are at. All I know mine are on the 2nd floor and that's it.
Looks like I'll be wondering the halls wednesday. How fun.

But oddly I feel less nervous than before...

And I have to find the stairs first. xD I have an idea where they are at, but...
I'll just be writing the room numbers down as I find a classroom so I'll know.
My friends have no idea where they are going either...I'm not sure anyone does.

I start on the 29th. And our 7th and 8th grade is now at the High School. I'll be a Freshman but i've already been at the High School for a year so i'll be okay.

We started band camp yesterday. I normally play clarinet (a woodwind) and yesterday was the first day I picked up a trombone (a brass) to play. Oh, what fun *rollseyes*. Oh well. I'll learn it. I actually have to go practice now.

i start the 23rd. its a thursday. im not really nervous or anything. im just excited to see my friends and see how much people have changed. i am kinda nervous to see who all is in my classes...whether its the people i like or dont like. but for the most part, im excited to see how much everything has changed. because our school was 6-8 last year and its just 7-8 this year and im just excited to see how the classes are and everything. and we have a bunch of new teachers because like last year, my 6th grade social studies teacher also taught 7th grade reading. so alot of the teachers that taught split grades all went to the elementary to teach 6th grade so we have alot of new 7th grade teachers. we also have new principals. our regular principal switched schools and our vice principal retired. so it's alot of new, new, new!
