I know it depends on how many points you buy, but what is a typical down payment and other costs?
Now that I am going to be a grandmother I am re-interested in being a DVC owner!
Would it be impossible to get a VWL resale?

typical downpayments are probably around 10%.

closing costs for direct purchases are around $300ish. resale cc's run from $325-up depending on who you're dealing with and how large the contract is.

you can get VWL resale or direct...probably cheaper to go resale. i recommend TTS (their resale listings are linked at the top of the page.)
