Stay at Disney resorts and collect the little soaps and shampoo and anything mouse shaped that's not nailed down, and hide it in your bag so housekeeping will put out new ones so you can take those as well.

How many of you can go to your bathrooms and still find Disney stuff from a trip you took 3 years ago. I can. :p

Well... I guess you caught me...

Ok Ed,
I confess, I do this. I have a complete set on the shelf in my downstairs bathroom, shower cap, soap, shampoo, cream rinse (does anyone remember when they had this?) body lotion, sewing kit, and shoe buffer. These are from our stay at the Poly in 1991. We stayed using the Grande Plan
I do take all the shampoos and take what they put in the next day. I have also written little notes to the cleaning staff asking for them when staying at the AS resorts where they use those wall pumps. But I have an ulterior motive.
I mail all my extra soaps lotions, etc... to Dottie, a woman who makes up little bags of goodies for the children at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dottie's daughter was sick a few years back and she brought Disney soap in to cheer her daughter up. THe other children enjoyed seeing Mickey and she started handing out little bags. Her daughter who is well now goes with her and they do help to cheer the children a little. So if anyone has any extra soaps and they would like to donate I can give you the web site where I found out about this, or Dottie's address so you can ship your own. Peggie

Ed...you caught us, we do it too!

Like you didnt know that! :p

Buggin'

I also took the paper coaster with Mickeys picture on them. But then again I am one of those people that takes napkins that are printed with Disney stuff on them too:rolleyes:

My dbf thinks I am nuts.

I donate most of our shampoos & soaps from any hotel to a local homeless shelter.

So, Raul, how many of these types of items do YOU have :)? Be honest! This board is full of your family members - even though I still don't know who is who :)!

Judith,

Since the last I heard, you and your husband Buford were homeless and living in a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator box, does this mean that you just give the soaps to your neighbors? :D

Personally, Trina keeps these soaps and every time I say something I shouldn't, I get my mouth washed out. Given my propensity to open my mouth to often, I have become quite a connoisseur of Disney soaps. I find that the ones from the Disneyland Hotel have a fresh after taste that leaves my breath minty clean. The ones from the old Dixie Landings blew the best bubbles, I swear I once was able to blow Mickey bubbles during an outburst.

Jeff

Do you think Trina could give us a demo when you guys are here for the Sept. Event...I see that you didn't mention the Swan or Dolphin shampoos, maybe she could try then this time....

I think they have a lost fish swimming in them..

Maybe you could blow swan or dolphin bubbles...

Donna

PS why should I get my own room when I can stalk from others for free..

Donna,

Sorry I didn't mean to pull you away from your fish watching from the roof of the Swan... I do apologize, I cannot guarantee any demonstrations by the infamous Adventure Girl. I can probably guarantee I deserve it though.

There is a pin event in September? Why am I always the last person to know about these things? After surviving WDW in August, I am not sure I could bear to watch Obi-Wan sweat like a pig again. Never seen anyone's fingernails sweat before, weird.

Jeff

I for one can believe that you would deserve it..I mean if not from Trina, how about from Lauri...
Methinks that she owes you for the e message on her phone yesterday..airline security thinks she is some kind of redheaded Taliban, and search her from toes to...(well, you know)..they almost locked her up and threw away the keys...and if I know those redheaded Lauri's...they don't get mad they get even...(I know what I'm talking about..I have a redheaded Lauree myself)

And about the fish thing...I am keeping watch to keep the people visiting WDW safe..who know when a "Jaws" type shark may make it's way into our waterways here....that fish I saw looked just like a minature shark, and those things grow up you know...

They have made me very comfortable up on the Swan...I'm sitting near the fountain..plenty of water ..a dip if I want it...nice binoculars..what else could the saviour of the free world want??

Donna

Jeff, only you can take my serious statement & make a joke out of it :)! We moved out of the box - did I forget to send you the new address? Should I start sending my extra soaps to Trina? I like her!!

We're guilty too. Worse yet, I always get irked when I get in the shower & find DH has opened Disney soap. :)

Yo! Ed! You been routin' around under my sink AGAIN????

Dh and Dd take them all the time we are no able to use them at all Then I send them to Dottie to give to the kids at Dana Farber

I always take my soaps and shampoos, but for a different reason. I give mine to my co-worker who adopts Special Needs children. The soaps are perfect because they are kid friendly sized. Since we go to WDW about 5 or more times a year, he has enough soap to last many years. He has 13 kids now.
