When I call tonight with this request:

Resort Character breakfast, Friday February 17th for THIRTEEN people :earseek: As early as possible?

Ahhhhhhh--the joys of travelling with non-WDW planners.

It's a semi family reunion, 13 of us total ranging in age from 8-68.

Any suggestions from you dining professionals?

Try it, you might be pleasantly surprised!

It's before the President's Day weekend rush, so maybe you will have luck. And the fact that you want it early may help too.

Good luck!

Bob

Be open on what resort and you may be surprised. You have the choices of Poly, GF, CM(yeah right), BC are the ones that pop into my head right now. Good luck and it can't hurt to call. :wizard:
Although my kids have off that day........

okay before I would have laughed too .... but I was able to book a party of 12 ladies into Crystal Palace on 05/05/05 the day before !!!!! Yup you read it right the official opening day of Happiest Celebration and we bagged a MK character meal last minute .... so it can be done. Miracle? Possibly ... Pixie Dust? Most Definately

OK--y'all have given me hope, I'm going to call tonight after DS goes to bed.

Wish me luck

So - what happened?????????

I was thinking of that Garden Grove place at either the Swan or Dolphin. I think they have a character breakfast on certain days.

I would recommend Cape May Cafe at the Beach club. It never seems too crowded there.

Hope you got something.

Maggie

Well, nothing tonight, but to his credit, my CM did not laugh out loud at me. I'm going to try tomorrow from work, and he said to keep trying, even up to when we are actually in WDW.

So, I'll keep at it, hope for the best.

I would call back and ask about the Garden Grove we ate there for dinner on our last trip and it was empty. Food was very good!

Just keep calling!

Last year, I wanted Chef's Table at V&A for Easter Sunday.

It was not available, but I kept calling, and calling and calling!

Thank goodness for the 800 number for dining reservation!

Finally a few weeks before, I was told...YOU got it!

And Pixie Dust goes a long way!

I would think they could get you something somewhere. Late breakfasts are generally more empty so I would be surprised if nothing was available anywhere.

Last summer we ran into some friends we had not seen in years. I called the night before, and requested breakfast for 10...4 of which were children. Since they were leaving that afternoon. We asked for any Character breakfast at any time. We lucked into Crystal Palace at 9 AM. The CM said they could put us down as 2 tables of 5...but requested side by side since was a large group. This worked out great...we were able to let the kids sit at one table, and I being a kid at heart sat with them...but the tables were so close, I just turned my chair a little and was in all the conversations.

Good luck and keep trying!

I had no trouble last August getting all my ADRs for various character meals for 12 people.

We even managed to get an illuminations cruise first go.

Maybe i am just lucky. I have to wait until March before i can make this years ADRs but there is only 4 of us this time.

Good luck. :goodvibes

Well, well, well, it seems that along with the snow that will soon be flying my way, the Pixie Dust is also flying!!!!! pixiedust:

I got an ADR for 13 people, for next Friday at 'Ohana for breakfast With Lilo and :stitch: . It's at 10:40am, which is a little late for my liking, but do-able.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone!!!!
