Mine is OK, went to the Flea Market, and than went to my DD's for Breakfast.:o Got to see my GB Aiyanna, who is now 6 months!:bounce: In 5 months and 32 days, she will be at WDW for her first trip!::yes:: Can hardly wait....Happy Mom's Day to all....Faith.

In a word: sad. :( Miss Maddy did not want to go back to her father at 8:00 a.m., and he refused to let me have her longer since "he has plans for Mother's Day". I'm at work taking care of other Mother's children today :( :(

Sorry to hear Steph. :( Divorce/Seperation is always a sad thing......Faith:hug:

Well so far it's about 50/50 huh guys? Sorry things aren't so great Steph.:( But keep your chin up.:D

Mine has been non-eventful - truly. So far DH and DD have both had contact with me, and neither has said Happy Mother's Day. We're going to my Mom's in about a half hour, so maybe they're saving it all up for then. ;)

Happy Mother's Day to all of you :D

My kids made scrapbook pages for me with old pic's. Made me chocolate milk and toast for breakfast (my favorite) and picked flowers outside this morning.

It really made my day, especially since I'll be working from 3:30 to 10 PM.

Hope you're all enjoying you're day and Stepharoonie: sorry you can't be together right now :(

Make sure you get her on Father's Day Steph. What a jerk!

Mine has been okay. No breakfast because I left the fixin's out on the counter. We're going to go buy mulch and some flowers so we can start planting for the year. We'll probably play in the Slip N' Slide some more. I just might opt to not go down it myself this time. ;)

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Steph, I'm sorry yours has not been so great:( I'm still recovering from the convention yesterday, so I'm trying to take it easy today. I just got a call from my classroom teacher- she called to tell me she's going to be out tomorrow and Tuesday-she was out most of last week as well (I've lost track of how many days she's been out, but it's been over a third of the year so far:rolleyes: ) She never even asked me how it went yesterday, even though she knows it's been something I've been working on for weeks. Oh well. i'm planning on going shoe shopping as soon as DH gets back from the grocery store. A girl can never have too many shoes:D

Steph,

I'm really sorry Maddy isn't with you. How could a father be so mean to his child. Hopefully you can celebrate the next time she's with you.

Right now DH and DD are out so I have some free time to myself with the laundry and all of you. DD made a wonderful t-shirt for me at school. They used the kids handprints as wings on a butterfly. It's big enough for me to wear as a dress but I'll treasure it forever.

We'll probably get takeout for dinner since I will not be cooking tonight.

Happy Mother's Day.

Steph----I'm sorry Maddy's father is being such a butt..:( Hopefully you can celebrate with her later....

So far my Mother's Day has been so-so. We got up too late to get to church within a reasonable amount of time. Whoops. I had leftover blueberry muffins from yesterday for breakfast and received two cards- one from DH and one from the boys. We're just kind of tidying the house up together (for a change) and then we are heading over to my parents for a late lunch. I did have a great time with my mom last night- we went to a scrapbook crop and had a blast! It was fun to get out of the house, with no kids, and hang with my mom and other crafty ladies. :D

I got the sweetest little gold heart on a chain from my 11 year old. DH said that DS asked him if he could get me some kind of jewelry because he wanted to give me something "special". I love the little handmade things that I've gotten over the years but this is really special since DS planned it and picked it out by himself. :)

Steph, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I don't understand some people at all.

Great Mother's Day here.

The sun is :sunny: , and it is nice and warm outside. Can't ask for much more than that.

Our day is practically over here and it has been a great day! Started with cards, pictures and gifts and then a pancake breakfast made by DH and DS. After we went to church then out to the lake for lunch with a group of friends. Had a great meal, a walk around the lake and an ice cream with my favorite boys! Came home called our moms and have been relaxing the rest of the day away. A great day all around.

Stephanie, I am sorry you are without your daughter today, that must be so hard for you.

Happy Mother's Day all!!

Absolutely great. Only glitch was interpreting in church this morning. OOPS they gave all the Mom's roses including me and the other interpreter. I am allergic to roses and my eyes were itching, I was coughing and sneezing and my nose running the entire service. Was I happy when that was over. Next Mother's Day I am taking meds before church.
After church my family and I went to the restaurant my youngest works at. The girls gave me lilies and the restaurant gave me a pink carnation. And my youngest paid for my lunch. She also gave me a Mickey Mouse Cookie Jar last night.

Mine is so so. My kids gave me cute cards they made. Those type gifts are the most precious ones to me. But now the kids have been fighting and mean to each other the rest of the day. DD keeps begging me to take her to the movies. I don't want to go to the movies. DH is sick. DS is whiny. We went to the in-laws for lunch. According to what MIL told me earlier, the moms there were going to be treated like queens by the men in the family. The men would grill steaks, clean up, etc. Well...(can you see where this is going?)...the men did grill but that was it. We waited on them and cleaned everything up as usual. Anyway, it's just another Sunday at my house. I am not a big fan of Mother's Day or Father's Day anyway. They are Hallmark Holidays to me. We used to go to Dollywood with some other families every Mother's Day. I think we will start doing that again next year. It was never crowded.

Mine is great so far!

I got to sleep in. DH made me breakfast. I got 2 nice cards and a GC to Borders. :)

Then we went to Borders and I had a coffee and read a magazine. Then we went to the Mall to do a little shopping and ate lunch.

We came home and played outside with DD for 2 hours. Now she is taking a nap.

It is a beautiful day here! :D

Pretty uneventful. Went to the cemetary with my sisters and we weeded moms grave and planted a new flower. Also weeded and trimmed around dads grave and our grandparents and since we were there and it looked TERRIBLE, my best friend's mom's grave (her mom was my mom's best friend). Had lunch with my sisters and came home to my hubby putting dinner in the oven for later. Stuffed shells with peppers, onions and sausage and it smells wonderful in there! Later we'll take a flower over to my DH's mom and next week we are taking her to the casinos and to dinner, which is her very favorite thing to do in the whole world.

I'm not a mom, but my mother and grandmother enjoyed their day. We all went out to eat this morning, which was fun. My boyfriend and I both went to a store to get a rose for my mom and my grandmother. They were both very happy about that, especially my grandmother since she said she never gets flowers. My mom also opened the gift that my sister and I got her while we were at the restaurant. She was so excited when she opened it. I ordered a picture of the 3 of us from when we were down the shore last year, and got her this frame that she loved, that said Mother and a few other things on it. She was so excited because she pointed it out one day and said that it would look nice if she had that frame with that picture in it, so she was happy that we remembered.

 For Steph

Mine hasn't been too well either. This has been the hardest one for me so far. I know it will get easier, but at least my furbabies have been loving on me all day.

I worked till 4...waiting on all the families taking their Mom's out for Sunday brunch/dinner. Made Good $$ so it's been a profitable day, not eventful! My DD (17)slept at a friends last night and she went to work at 2pm...so, I haven't seen her yet today, but she did call me, while I was as work this morning to say "Happy Mother's Day". The two of us are going out to dinner when she gets home from work.
Steph....One of the other waitresses that I worked with today, had a similar problem with her little girls father. Must be something all EX's do on Mother's Day!! She said she was going to make sure she's away on father's day weekend with her daughter!

(Kteacher-saw the crowd at UMass yesterday, were you out on the lawn in front of Mullins too?..hope you had a good day...we did!)::yes::
