I've been a member of these boards for four years and if I had to pick a restaurant that I've read the LEAST about, it's probably Boatwright's.
Looking at their menu, I don't know why -- slow-roasted prime rib, bbq pork ribs, bourbon glazed chicken -- plus, New Orleans style meals, drinks and desserts. Wow -- sounds great!
What's the secret here?! I think we're gonna' give it a whirl!

If you are staying at POR Riverside, its OK, but it is not worth making a special trip.

We've had breakfast there before and liked it. We have an ADR there for dinner on our next trip.

it sounds great but we ate there in October and it was by far our least favorite. The service was indiferent at best (She did not come around to ask us how we were doing or bring more beverages or offer dessert) and the restaurant was almost empty. The food was OK but it was just not outstanding in any way. I was terribly dissapointed and I love everything about POR.

We had breakfast there in Nov. and it was yummy. The pancakes were good. When we go back we plan to stay at POR again so we will eat there again. :goodvibes

We went for breakfast on our last trip and really enjoyed it! We went around 9:30 so we didn't need an ADR, the portions were large, the prices were low and our server was fabulous!

We have never had dinner at Boatwright's but we have had breakfast there many times. We really like there breakfast especially the Sweet Potato pancakes and there omelets.

Our first trip we ate a couple of dinners there and a couple of breakfasts and really really loved it all. Our second trip we ate dinner once and my son the seafood lover and master of all catfish didn't like theirs at all. The rest of our food was good, but not fabulous. We ate breakfast there twice during that trip and it was the best I've ever had anytime anywhere. The Blueprint Omlette and Sweet Potato Pancakes were out of this world. So I'd say if you are staying there dinner is pretty good, even if you're not staying there breakfast is worth the trip.

We've eaten breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast, very good. Dinner, not worth the money. There are many more excellent choices for dinner...I wouldn't waste my time here!

I never had breakfast there. I had dinner once several years ago. Very average.

We enjoy Boatwright's and it is probably our second favorite resort restaurant. We usually get the prime rib or pot roast and have never had a problem.

When we stayed at the POFQ we did walk over for dinner one night. From what I remember we had a nice meal - the service was fine - It was a nice walk from FQ over - we also went into the gift shop - it was much larger than the one at FQ - I guess I wouldn't make a special trip to go there though.

For us it's been hit or miss over the years. We are frequent visitors to WDW and enjoy trying different restaurants. That being said, we used to like it years ago and then a few years ago had a less than great meal. On our past trip we decided to give it another try and had a very nice dinner, great service, and enjoyed a very quiet time there. Like any WDW restaurants IMHO it changes over the years and also night to night depending on what server you have, how busy it it, etc. We always rent a car so for us it is not a big deal, but it you are not staying there and do not have a car I do not believe it is worth numerous bus transfers (if that's what you have to do) to go there. With the closing of Bonfamille's I thought they would do something "extra" at Boatwrights, like add some different things to the menu. My husband always loved their salad dressing and years ago a salad came with the meal, but now it's extra. I guess that was the "extra" LOL! For us, it's a meal away from the parks and enjoyable it if it's not too busy.

Enjoy!!

We just had breakfast there, food was wonderful, but spoiled by very poor service.

But... it was almost worth it for those pancakes... best breakfast food we have eaten in a long time.

(Edit: "just", as in September... that's how good the breakfast tasted, and how poor service we had - I can remember everything just like it was yesterday)

We ate there in October service was dreadful, table was not big enough for us and that was only 2 adults and 2 teens, brought main course 5 mins after starters, our server was dreadful I walked out during meal to calm down as I was pretty annoyed our only bad dining exp over our 2 weeks at disney, on saying that the food was ok tasted good and plenty of it but we wont be returning anytime soon

Never had dinner there, but, we love the breakfast menu. I always get the banana stuffed french toast....it's really good!!! DH usually gets an omelet and say's they're also very good. I think that's what two DS's had last visit also. We usually go a little later (maybe 9:30 or 10:00) and have always had good service and little if any wait.

We spent a week at POR last July with our extended family and the consensus at the end of the trip was that breakfast at Boatwright's was the best meal of the trip. We had eaten at several much higher priced places that trip too.

They had a broad enough selection that everyone at the table was able to get something different and everyone's food was awesome. I had the Banana Stuffed French Toast and I'd recommend that to anyone.

We never ate dinner there though, we never seemed to get back to POR until way after dinner time.

The kids and I like it but my wife can't stand it. The food is good Southern cooking. My wife would call it uninspired "comfort food." It ain't California Grill but if you feel like some good ribs and a couple of beers, it's pretty darned good.
