So, how does one become a Tag Fairy?

Are there, like, Tag Fairy auditions? "American Idol" style where the TF Society trolls cities for candidates, then breaks their little fairy hearts one by one until only the most marketable is left standing? Or is it more like "Last Comic Standing," where fairies have to perform in front of other fairies for funniest sayings and the non-funny ones are weeded out? How about "Average Joe" where a gorgeous guy or gal bestows some attention on regular folk like you or me? Maybe it's like being an Osborne -- you're just born into the craziness! Or like "The Newlyweds," where Jessica Simpson-esque whining gets you a tag.

I'm thinking "Big Brother," where fairies are shut in together to duke it out for the chance to be an ultimate TF.

Or maybe I need to quit watching every reality show ever produced... Just because producers make it doesn't mean I have to watch...

Uhh, well if one can apply to be a tag fairy I just have one question: is it a paying job? Because I've been in search of one of those for a few months now! Is there someplace I can download the application?

I think it pays a stipend. After that, you have to make good on your 15 minutes of fame. If you're lucky and have some hotness on your side, you can do even better (think Elizabeth from "Survivor: The Australian Outback"). Those Tag Fairies go on to bigger and better things, leaving room for the next cycle of TFs, like Tyra Banks, who quit modeling for her talk show and "America's Next Top Model."
