So, how do you incorporate stamping

into your scrapbook pages?

Now that I belong to a stampin up club, I'll have tons of them. But so far, all I've used them for is to stamp on the pages for my stamp index book:lmao:

It depends on the stamp.

I use a lot of CTMH (close to my heart) type products, and they do a huge amount with stamps. You can look at some of the ideas on their website or books to get ideas (the books are Imagine, Cherish and Reflections - all by Jeanette Layton (sp?) - also give some examples in their layouts) - Micahels sometimes has their books, so you can flip thru to get ideas without buying them.

So, I have stamps with different sayings. I may put them on a different color card stock and then add to a page to give it dimension (this also helps if the stamp doesn't turn out the first time, since it's not directly on your page).

I have different elements I may stamp on a page instead of a sticker - such as zoo animals, train, etc. for some kids pages. I have Disney type stamps - not exactly Disney, but things that work for Disney like the castle and some ride type stamps.

One of my girlfriends "creates" her own paper - she's start with plain white, and then use a stamp repetatively across the page to "decorate it" - like a stamp of a birthday cake, etc.

You can stamp in a single color, or you can use inks to add color to the stamp and make it a multi-color element.

Good luck, and have fun!

I love using stamps and then different types of embossing powder lately. I've even starting getting more and more experimental with it. I did a nifty title for an Adventureland page where I took some cute, larger acrylic letter, traced around them in pencil, used an embossing pen to kind of color around in the spaces around the pencil marks sprinkled copper powder all around where I'd marked pretty heavily (I didn't tap the excess off like I normally do), and then heat set the powder. Then in the spaces I glued down the acrylic letters. It gave this really cool effect and I was so happy with it. You could totally do something similar, but with a stamp as sort of a relief. Haha, now I kind of want to try that. :-)

You know, I really don't use them as much as I should, either!

My first thought is as border for a plain-paper page.

I've also used them to make sort of a "trail" to lead the eye through a page.

Alphabet stamps for a tilte (before I got my Cricut).

I'm excited to read other people's ideas!

I use my bigger alphabets to stamp titles, and smaller alphabets to stamp other wordings, phrases etc. I also make patterned paper, my consultant calls it 'random stamping' using a blank cardstock and images themed to my LO. i always use at least 3 different images, one being a bigger one to 'pop'. Stamping tone-on-tone is a great way to make suttle patterened paper (blue cardstock stamped in same-color blue ink). I like to use the images if they coordinate with the LO, i.e. a monkey on a Zoo page. I have a blending pen to add just a touch of color with ink pads, like a touch of pink in that monkey's belly. Ask your consultant to show you. I have 2 "flourish" stamp sets that i use as filler, they are scroll type images.

i'll keep thinking, then when that leaves me blank i'll look in my albums for more idea :teeth:

stampin' up has GREAT punches if you need a quick purchase, some are exclusive to the company

I use my stamps mostly to make elements for swaps - like I might stamp a lion and cut it out and mount it on a photo mat. I get  about stamping direct on a page in case it doesn't turn out:rolleyes1 I've got a lot of stamps, but one of my favourite effects for camping/adventure pages is to use an Action Man (G I Joe) boot to make footprints across the page

I don't always use my stamps - though I should!

A lot of times I will use a stamp wheel to make a border or something to that effect.

Not too long ago I found a super cute flower in the Hot Spot at our Archivers. I stamped up one side of my page then went back with markers and filled in the center of the flower. The page turned out super cute.

I guess I could say that I use my stamps on my scrapbook pages as accents.

I stamp on cardstock, color and then cut around the stamped image. Then I mount the pieces on my pages using pop dots for some dimension. I have some really cute "dolls of the world" stamps from Hero Arts that I have used on small world pages (like the ones on the cards our friend Betsy gave us last year), and I have several awesome flower stamps that I have used. I also have journal block stamping sets that I sometimes use directly on the page, or on a tag, for journalling.
