We are a scavenger hunt family - hence me being up now waiting to plant everything. The eggs contain clues for where to find the next egg- ultimately ending at Baskets. And they all rhyme. Which is something my mom always did. It prolongs the process a little.

How about you?

How cool!
I'm a lazy 'bunny'...

My DD8 is painting the eggs now.... I figure at some point in the middle of the night when I wake up to feed the baby, I'll set their baskets at the table.

Tomorrow AM, my DD13 will put the eggs out around the front yard, then they'll all 'hunt' them...

TA-DA....easter egg hunt complete :)

My boys were kind of far apart (4 years) so our bunny left different colored plastic eggs for each kid. Example One might get all blue and the other orange. The older one's eggs were hidden better than the younger one's. Sadly I think they are getting to old to do it this year:sad2:

This bunny is tired. DH usually hides the eggs but he is out of town and I am just not in the mood. The baskets go on the table in a few mins before I go to bed. I am putting the eggs in a basket next to it and will either hide them in the morning or let the kids take turns hiding them. They acutally enjoy that.

Plus the kittens were having enough fun playing with the eggs while I was filling them. If I hid them tonight they would spend the entire night finding them and playing with them undoing all my work!

No hunt, no egg-coloring, no sunrise service:sad2: Even the basket I made for DD is a little shoddy:laughing: ~ guess that's what happens when it's just two of us, a tween and me. She's still sleeping but I know she'll like her shoddy basket, it's just not what I'm used to preparing. This year she got a pair of shimmery purple converse sneakers, Lindt truffle eggs, peeps, a chocolate bunny, and a $15 Itunes card. I sure do miss the days of the bonnet, gloves, pretty little dress with ruffled socks:sad1:

Hey java, that's what I did up until a few years ago! Must be a Jersey thing? I actually had the thought this year that maybe Easter Bunny didn't have to bring baskets for DS20 and DD25, but I was informed that I was wrong!

We didn't do eggs this year-I didn't even mention them to the kids :thumbsup2. The bunny just hides the baskets. It took the twins an hour to find them this morning. DS16 isn't up yet so we will see how long it takes him.
