So how do I book this?

We are thinking of a split stay in November between BCV and BLT November 3-13. 6 nights at BCV in a 1 bedroom and 5 nights in studio at BLT. I'm not sure what our chances are of getting this but my question is do I book 6 nights plus the first night at BLT on my first call? I know you can book 7 nights at a time but would I have to wait for the 7 month mark to book the 7th night at a different resort? We have never stayed more than 7 nights so I hope this will work out. I know it is Jersey week as well as F&W. Does anyone know when most of the Jersey people arrive? I'm not real picky about which nights we stay I just tried to pick 11 nights as late as possible for F&W. Any input on this plan would be appreciated.

Two resorts are two different reservations. You call to book the first resort. Then you call to book the second resort 11 or 7 months out of the start of that stay.

You book your home resorts at 11 months and non-home resorts at 7 months out.

You also might want to book your home resort first, so you have somewhere to stay in case 1 (or both) of your splits don't pan out. I would probably book 2 reservations for the room sizes that you want and the days that you want. Then, at 7 months for the first reservation, call (or go online if that is truly working by then) and change to BCV. Six days later, at the second 7 month window, call and change to BLT. With F&W and Jersey Week in there, you do not want to get caught without somewhere to stay.

No, thankfully they saw the light on that some months into it, and stays in different resorts are different numbers.

Having them under the same number was messing up online checkin and ADRs (and made simply NO sense) (and drove me crazy, which, of course, is the sure reason they changed it).

As previously posted, Disney has seen that the "travel plan number" was way too confusing for guests and cast members alike, and has gone back to separate reservation numbers. Even when they were using it, though, it was just a single number to link together multiple reservations. It didn't change the booking rules, and it wouldn't have effected when you could book the BLT portion of the trip you describe. You can book the BCV portion 7/11 months from November 3rd (your check in date at BCV), then call back 6 days later to book the BLT portion. (If you're booking at the 11-month point, it would require you to have contracts at both BCV and BLT, and have enough points available on each contract for the respective portions of the trip.)
