Accckkk! We watched all the way til Vince Vaughn was apologizing to Jennifer Anniston and then the DVD must have been scratched! We never saw the end.... anybody wanna share? Thanks

Did the title not give you the answer? :rotfl:

If not, they must have lived happily ever after.

From Wikipedia.

A bickering couple (Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston) live in a wonderful condo in Chicago. Both driven in their careers with Gary (Vaughn), a Poland-loving man running a thriving city tour business with his brothers (Vincent D'Onofrio and Cole Hauser), while Brooke (Aniston) works as a representative for her boss' (Judy Davis) art gallery. Early in the movie, their conflicts cause them to separate after a bitter argument. Although Gary believes he's fighting for the condo, it's Brooke who is fighting for their relationship to stay alive. However, the condo ends up becoming the subject of a war in which both try to outwit and outdo each other through blind dates, obnoxious parties and broken promises. In the end, both mutually agree to separate, selling the condo; Gary continues to run his business which is booming while Brooke (Aniston) travels the world, eventually finding her way back to Chicago. At the end of the movie, they meet again on the streets of Chicago uneventfully. After some words, they part ways, glancing at one another while smiling.

I have not seen the movie myself

Vince Vaughn character says to Jennifer Annistons character, "Frankly my Dear, I dont give a damn", and then walks away into the Fog.
Jennifers character sits on the long staircase and says "I will think about it tommorrow"

Then the music plays and leaves the audience wondering what will happen next!

popcorn:: :rolleyes1

Seriously, they just walk away. Horrible ending.

Thanks for posting the ending. I love Vince Vaughn, but that movie never looked good to me. Now I really don't have to see it. :thumbsup2

Same here...the movie was funny, the ending sucked.

I loved the movie, but the ending was not a happy one. Realistic and true to life, but not a standard Hollywood ending.

Very crappily ever after.

I had heard they changed the ending--so I looked forward to a rehookup. And while in the revised ending, they didn't have new partners--it just didn't satisfy my romantic comedy expectations (Though I guess this comedy wasn't really classified as "romantic").

I was even a tad peeved that the acting--appeared they were kind of happy to see each other...was expecting even a "maybe we should get together for cofffe sometime" or some cliche or creative non-cliche like that. The eyes had me convinced that something like that at least would happen. But NOPE! A quick little courtesy catch up and off they go.

I hated the ending because it was left so open-ended.

I wouldn't have minded if they ended up going their separate ways and never ever got back together (I kind of like movies that take unexpected turns like that), and I wouldn't have minded if they decided to give it another go.

But the director should have chosen an ending and commited to it, because I felt cheated with what we were given.

The ending reminded me of the movie with Uma Thurmond and that cute young guy and Meryl Streep - ugh, what was the name? It was a really good movie but the ending was not typical Hollywood. I personally liked it - it was realistic, but if you like fairytale endings, skip this one!

Now I am going to have to look up the name of the movie or it will drive me crazy all day.

Same Here! I was soo mad at the ending!!!

Did they get back together??? Did they go their seperate ways????

Sounds like a sequel in the making to me!

I hated the ending also. It reminded me of the ending in "Butterfly Effect"- I haded that ending too. Ashton and Amy pass each other walking down the street(both happy and successful) and continue on their way- WTH? I really hated that. Ashton should have chased after her!

OK I hated the ending in the Butterfly Effect, but I really like the ending of The Breakup :)
