Is it calming down yet? I just heard a radio ad for Florida residents for May, 2 days any park for $99. This usually means it slowing down to a mad pace rather than an insane dash.

Any input would be greatly appreiciated.......Trip on the horizon......:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We went to EPCOT on Apr 29th for dd's bday and the crowds were lite. We'll be at AK for my bday in 2 weeks and hope that it will still be lite because mom's day will be over and the kids are all still in school until mem day weekend.

We took a day trip to Orlando yesterday to let DH get some much needed rest... we stopped at Sea World first and then over to the Fort for dinner and a few hours at Magic Kingdom. IMO- Sea World was more crowded that Magic Kingdom was- the boys went on several rides with little to no wait at all and we had a blast. We were even able to get a spot for the fireworks right up infront of the Castle like 10 min b4 they started:thumbsup2

I'm trying to talk DH into spending Mother's Day weekend there too... so we'll see...

Are you guys sure you moved to the right city. I think you stopped 140 miles short lol. I will be there too this weekend.

Sounds good!!!!!! Just made a ressie for golf cart with no problem. May traditionally has been a good month to go, so it sounds as if that is holding true. Thanks all.

I just talked to my friend who is at Epcot as we speak and he said it was pretty dead, even at the MK, swine flu scare? and spring break is over. Hope its like that in 23 days. :hippie:

We leave on the 17th...I hope the trend continues at least for a while.

Just got back. The longest wait we had was 25 minute for EE. It was posted for 50 minutes. Generally the posted times were less then the actual. Here is a quick list of wait times....

Splash- 20 minutes and a walk on at 10 am.
Thunder- 20 min around 1030 am
TSM-30 minutes at 930am
TT- 20 mins at 1pm

Those are just a few. On Sat. we had tons of walk ons at MK. We were at rope drop everyday and left after lunch.

My guess is that come 5 weeks (mid-June), this lull will be over. Rats! Is it bad to hope for the economy to worsen or horse or turkey flu to break out or something to widdle down those after school crowds?
I have never been in June. I have heard mixed reviews on the crowds. Some say it is a nightmare. Others say while it is crowded, it isn't near as bad as one might think.
