Three young girls under 7 years of age a time of trip, which would you suggest....contemporary garden wing, Gfv or GF standard room?

I was set poly until all the construction talk, our trip was planned for next September but am thinking of pushing it back to October to avoid a bit of humidity.

Always thought I would book CR but after researching GF am leaning towards it for the girls. What does everyone think? Will I regret not being in walking distance to MK with two MK days planned and mnsshp?

Both are very close to MK. While CR you can walk to MK, GF is 1 stop on the monorail away, so it really isn't a big deal.

IMO though, I would choose the CR. We stayed at the CR this year, but visited the GF during our stay. CR garden view was great for us. We got a water view so every night we could watch the electric boat parade. It was very quiet. There's lots of wildlife & boats to watch as well if you have some room time. We were also going to do the Pirates & Pals cruise, so proximity to the dock was great.

GFIMO was stuffy. I felt under dressed walking in there in shorts. Granted, there were people who were wearing regular vacation t-shirt & shorts clothes, but there were just as many if not more who were dressed above that. The style is Victorian I think. It is meant to look fancy (the main elevator is glass & made to look like an antique bird cage, there's a grand piano in the foyer & an orchestra in the lobby. It is all very impressive, but just not something I'd consider relaxing.

Whatever you choose, both are beautiful resorts with perks & very close to MK. Both have very easy access to the monorail.

I would go with CR. We really like the GF, and once you stay there, you get away from the stuffy feeling (at least we did) but with 3 little kids too, we just can't justify the cost. When they are older, perhaps they will appreciate it more and then we will stay there again. In the meantime, we are at more "kid friendly" resorts (CR, Poly, WL). You will love the option to walk back and forth to MK. MNSSHP-the monorails are a zoo. Being able to walk back is BIG.

Can't go wrong with either really. I would go GF if it was me. I am not in the camp that thinks the walk to MK from CR is the best. I would rather get on the monorail and more importantly ride the boat back after a long day in the park. I also prefer the theming and atmosphere of GF to CR.

We just got back from the Contemporary. We stayed in a Tower Club Room with a Magic Kingdom View. I had to go to the Garden Wing to do my laundry. I did not like the feel of the building. It was very closed in, dark, and isolated, compared to the Tower. I could not wait to get back to the Tower. In case you were wondering, we did not notice Chef Mickey or Monorail noise from our room. We were originally going to travel to Disneyworld in the Fall and were trying to decide between Grand Floridian and Contemporary. I am glad we tried the Contemporary once. I have only good things to say about the Club Level service etc. I would not go back as the resort itself does not appeal to us as a whole. I would stay at the Grand or Polynesian next trip.

I think you'll love any of those choices!

When Dsis and I were about that age, we were FASCINATED by the Contemporary. We thought the monorail coming in and out of the building was so amazing. And we loved sitting outside on the dock for the water parade. I still remember how wonderful I thought everything was. And while I think they would love the beautiful GF as well, you might want to save that for when they are older and want to do the girly afternoon tea, etc. But all good choices!
