So happy with school Administrator!!

My dd13 is soooo happy right now!! Her middle school is broken up into communities, and within those communities are different classes. DD13 has a very small circle of friends, and last year was eating lunch alone, since none of her friends were in her community.

Towards the end of the year she started to sit with 2 boys, and was having fun. The Asst. Principal, who helps to put together schedules spoke to me last year and asked me to get the name of the 2 boys DD sits with, since she wants to make sure that dd is with friends again.

Well we got their communities today, and DD is with her BFF, and another good female friend. She hasn't heard from the boys yet..but as of now she is sooo soo happy!!

I have already sent her a thank you note!! I hope to see her next week when I drop off some forms!!

I'm very glad that this worked out for you! When I was in 6th grade I had no friends in my class, and we had to sit with our homerooms for lunch and I was by myself all the time. (Oh, our tables sat 16 kids and there were 17 in our class. Guess who got to sit all by herself at the second table???) It was a lonely year. In junior high I got to be part of a community with several of my friends, and it made all the difference. We will have 2 teams this coming year where I teach and we try to make sure the kids get to mingle with other classes, and they have their "specials" with kids from other groups so I hope everyone gets some time with friends. I remember very little from 6th grade other than being lonely.
