and a bit jealous, I must admit.


my sister's best friend (actually she's more like family) is planning to go to WDW in August with her three boys. the oldest is 13 and the youngest is 6. they'll be staying at one of the All Star resorts. the mom hasn't been to WDW since she was a kid, and her boys have never been there.

of course, the committee (my sisters and I) are going to help with the planning -- we've been the WDW a few times. but I've got girls.

anyone have suggestions for what boys might like at WDW?

Water mice (at least the 13 year old), upfront in the monorail, early morning fishing.

a character meal without too many princesses (well, except maybe for the 13 year old )
maybe some of the evening stuff at Ft. Wilderness or even the daytime horseback riding

DisneyQuest in Downtown Disney if they are into video games and virtual reality stuff, the Giant Lego store (also in DD)...Test Track...Splash Mountain, ...these are a few of the things my son loved whe we went last (he was 11)hope they have a great time!

Mine likes the Rainforest Cafe, the Sci Fi and any fast food place. He also enjoyed our meal at Cape May and just walking around the Boardwalk area.

I second spending time at Fort Wilderness. We saw the outdoor movie and he would have loved the hayride given time.

He also loves all of the parks, he's even learned to appreciate World Showcase a bit more now that he's 10. Disneyquest was a hit a few years ago but he chose to spend more time at Universal this year instead of going to Disneyquest which surprised me.
