So Goofy Tried to Kill Me Recently

I always maintained that if you want to have fun with the characters you need to "dress for success" such as having them on your shirt or pins of them on your lanyard. However, as I learned on my last Disneyland visit, this can lead to unexpected results such as hungry characters and others trying to kill you.

Oh my day had started out innocently enough. Chip and Dale pretended to be airplanes before I met them.

After examining my pins and discovering that they had made the cut (as Ewoks), Chip showed his approval by kissing the pin. Not to be outdone, Dale decided that he would eat the pin.

After the CM questioned him about metal not being good for you, Dale responded by rubbing his tummy.

After that I found Goofy over the backlot of DCA so I decided to go see him too. The guy before had to hold Goofy up because he was close to tipping over, so I had to run in there and catch Goofy before he fell down. So after I saved Goofy from falling down, how does he repay me? He tried to kill me. After careful examination of my pins, he pointed to the Jedi Training Academy pin of Jedi Mickey fighting Darth Goofy, and responded by holding his arm out and force choking me. See I even have proof.

The irony here is that the last time I'd seen him was during Star Wars Weekends. Apparently Sith Lords need to go on vacation too.

OMG!!!:jumping1: Where would I be able to take pictures with Star Wars???? I would love to know..:listen::darth:

Love the pictures...but your title made me laugh out loud...:rotfl2:

I chose the title because it's so against what Goofy would do, and because that very "action" really made my day.

Dang it.. :sad1: Would they ever have a star wars weekend at Disneyland???
I think there are a lot of us who would love to see that. A few years ago, they supposedly said they were looking into it, but nothing since so I'm not counting on it. It is definitely worth taking a trip out to WDW for though.

UTES *runs*

hehe j/k (sorta)

cute pics!
All in good fun. I have a few friends that are big Utah fans, but I choose to stay out of rivalry trash talk. I'll celebrate when the Y wins and be disappointed when the Y loses, but otherwise I try to not get caught up in the whole thing.

Oh those are awesome photos!!! Thank YOU for sharing them with us, I love that Goofy pic, too funny!!! Well I love both Goofy pics but really the one of him "force" choking is, it's just classic. :)

Lol Great pics, espeacially the force choke one:laughing:

I seem to remember running into chewbacca several times outside of star tours when I visited when I was younger, does he still make appearences ever? Id love to have a picture with him where im above the age 12

I actually dislike football, so it was totally a joke.

I think nowadays Chewbacca only makes an appearance at Star Wars Weekends in WDW.

If Star Tours 2.0 becomes a reality, we'll certainly see some merchandise. It's possible that they will have some characters around the area around the new launch, but I wouldn't expect anything long term. They would need to have a costume on hand as well, which I don't know if Disney currently does for Chewbacca.

When the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough was reopened, Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora made appearances by the castle for maybe a day or two. I was in the parks days after it reopened and didn't see either one of them. For that reason, I don't expect Star Wars characters to roam around Disneyland (outside of the Jedi Training Academy) for very long, if at all, if Star Tours 2.0 happens.

It's crazy how many costumes they must have lurking around in the backlot. The more I read about what characters there are...wow.
