So frustrated with WDW dining for Sept/Oct trip

I would sooo do lunch but they only do Dinners/Breakfast for Chef Mickey in the time we are going! So sucks tooo. They should really add more hours when they introduce Free Dining

Also... you probably had an easier time due to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot not starting til the 25th of SEpt. I would have chosen your week if I'd known earlier

Have you tried the Crystal Palace for a lunch? This will be our third year eating there. Two years ago I booked the Garden grill for my son's 3rd birthday. I don't recommend it. The next day we did Crystal palace and it was great. They do so much for kids on there birthday. Last year we went there for his birthday and the changed it a bit for the better. The kids get a card sign by the characters and a cupcake with a number candle on it. We have already booked it for my son's 5th birthday this year.

I agree with the previous poster that Chrystal palace would be a great place to hold a child's birthday party they usually let the birthday child lead the parade through the restaurant . with other children and charters waving napkins .

We aren't doing a park that day. As DVC members, we only visit 2 parks a trip plus MNSSHP this year and spend time at the resorts we pay dues to every year. We are doing CP for dinner before MNSSHP though... :O)

How about ordering a great cake to celebrate the birthday the actual day? You can do it where every you end up being, whether it's in your resort or elsewhere. Then, when you go to CP celebrate all over again. My DD loves it when she gets multiply b-day celebrations.

As tradition holds true... I make all my kid's b-day cakes.. I am actually pretty creative and my staying at Disney will NOT change that tradition... we have a full kitchen in our 2 bed at AKLV so.... I will be baking on the 30th when we have a resort day! :O)
I was able to get breakfast at Chef Mickey's though we are NOT breakfast people by any means... hoping for some Disney Magic and try for dinner daily from now til then. But beggers CAN'T be choosers.

That's great....at least you have something. Keep trying you just never know what will pop up.

Hopefully you get dinner somewhere that day. Make sure your reservation for CP has that there is a birthday because even though it is not the actual birthday they will still do something.
