So frustrated :( missed BOG reservation

After months of trying for a November BOG reservation, this morning a 5:00 showed up a few minutes ago, and I grabbed it and then it said Server busy. :( Is this common? Is there anything I could have done to fix it before losing the reservation :(

I'm so sorry!!! I feel your pain! The same thing happened to me with a CRT I've been trying to get. Hang in there! :wizard:
 
The same thing has happened to me a number of times. This last time while trying for Chef Mickey, I just kept hitting my back arrow key, hitting the reserve button again over and over again. Finally, it went through and I was able to complete the reservation.

I don't know if this work everytime, but it worked then. It's worth a try.

It's so frustrating.. It hasn't happened to me on anything else but go figure the one my daughter's really want, it happens on! :furious:
 

Same thing happened to me yesterday with CRT. I kept going back and it eventually went through. I was freaking out too! Be patient. I was trying for a month for a BOG ressie and just got it for Sept. 13.
 
It might still be there! The dining website has been having issues. Yesterday a chef mickeys appeared at the perfect time for our guest count. Clicked the time and got "server busy", refreshed and the time was gone. I was so upset. I called the dining line and it wasn't available. An hour later I checked again and the same time was there, clicked and again "server busy". Waited an hour more and again it appeared, this time I called the automated dining line and got it. I'd keep checking and if it appears dont click, call the dining line. :)

Yes, unfortunately, it is common. However, you might get lucky and still be able to book it.

Exactly right! I have had this same thing happen. It's time consuming for about an hour, but it's worth checking every 10 minutes or so.
I haven't called the dining line, though. I made sure I was logged in, and slowly went through booking my reservation when it popped up. For some reason, I find you can't just click through quickly with online dining reservations.

The same exact thing happened to me today. I have been trying to get an earlier ADR for Crystal Palace for about a month now and finally found one. As I was reserving it, I must of hit the "next" button twice, or something, because it all of a sudden said that the server was busy and to try again. I called the dining line and they couldn't find it either. I knew to wait an hour because a few weeks ago, the same thing happened for another ADR that I wanted. Sure enough, an hour later, the same reservation popped up and I was then able to snag it.
 
It's super frustrating!!! I had something similar happen with an Ohana ressie. I found the day and time I wanted. I was doing the happy dance but then safari stopped responding as it often does on the Disney site and I lost it. I called but it was gone :-( Keep trying!!! People do cancel. It just takes some luck and a little bit of pixie dust! ;-) that's what I keep telling myself lol

So frustrating! When they sort of disappear, the dining line can't see them either. Your best bet is to keep checking the website frequently. They often pop back up somewhere around an hour later.
 
Been trying off and on for a while for a reissue for our Oct trip but nothing ever available...
 
I had the same problem when I finally found a BOG opening during my Oct trip. The phone lines weren't open for about 10 more minutes, so I kept toggling between the pages so I wouldn't lose it if it was in "my cart" until the phone lines opened. I then called and explained the problem and they could see the time and confirmed it for me. Hope the same will work for you. :)

Yes, that's what I have done too. I got that "busy" message even on the morning I was doing 180+10 and it really freaked me out.
 
I feel your frustration, just had the *perfect* time for ohana-something happened and I got a message about the script running slow :headache:

I did not know to wait and try again, this was just a bit ago, so I will keep trying.

Thanks! I'd never heard the check back in an hour tip. I will definitely try it if it happens again!!
 
Open Table is able to manage thousands of restaurants owed by thousands and have been doing so for many years. So why are dining reservations at WDW so darn hard?!

Is this the 90's? The Carousel of Progress jammed?

Good to know that will work. I've been trying to move an O'Hana reservation, had one, and got the server busy response about 3 times then gave up.
