So Frustrated-4/3, no Friday check-in!

I am beyond frustrated with Disney.

I want to check in on a Friday and check out on a Friday for the 4/3 deal. I currently have a moderate and would like to upgrade to a Deluxe, but can't.

I can book the 4/3 from Saturday-Friday (forward one day, only 6 days, okay so I assume Friday is sold out.) I can book Thursday-Friday (back one day, for 8 days, okay they are squeezing an extra rack rate out of me for Friday). But, I can also book Monday-Saturday at the 4/3, essentially saying I'm getting Friday night under that rate.

WTH? I've called and used the website, and I get the same "no availability."

Seriously, I'm trying to give Disney $1200 more. I guess they don't want my money...

Maybe the rooms are full for the day you want on check in. It isn't because you can't check in on a Friday. We are doing a Friday to Friday in June. Just keep trying, someone will eventually cancel.

If I'm understanding your post correctly it looks like you get 8, 6, or 5 nights but not the 7 you want . Not sure why it is but sometimes adding or subtracting a day will show availability . All you need to do is book the 8 nights (Thurs-Fri) and then call back and cancel out the Thursday night and you will have your 7 nights, Fri-Fri . Good luck .

Thanks for your help. Yes, before you could book other possible combinations of the same dates but not Friday-Friday at any of the Deluxe resorts. You could only get value or moderate under the 4/3 deal.

I checked back again today, and I was able to book the Contemporary theme park view for Friday-Friday. BC, WL, BWI also came up. I'm guessing maybe they changed some things in the update?

I think it's just because people are constantly canceling and re-booking, etc. I booked a trip thru AAA last week, and she said they would hold the ressie for 5 days before I had to give the deposit. I called back later that same day to finalize, but essentiallly, a room could be held for 5 days and then re-released if someone changes their mind for whatever reason. I'm glad you were able to get your dates.

I would think that too under normal circumstances. But this was definitely an error or an intentional block off.

My dates are Friday, Jan 23- Friday, Jan 30, so it is well after final payment when most will cancel. After I booked my room, I checked and there is still availability for the CR.

Originally, I could not book any Deluxe besides AKL for these dates. I wanted Contemporary theme-park view, and I could get all of the following:

Saturday, Jan 24-Friday, Jan 30 (does not include Jan 23, so I assume this night is booked solid)

Thursday, Jan 22-Friday, Jan 30 (this includes Jan 23, so Jan 23 is not booked as I would suspect)

Monday, Jan 19-Saturday, Jan 24 (Also includes Jan 23)

I tried the same thing for the week prior and got the exact results. Everything worked except Friday-Friday.

It seems the system maintenance took care of the problem though. Thank you Disney for fixing the problem and letting me give you $1100 more!
