WDW. But the parking is horrible. I’m glad they are building another garage, but even then I wonder about the cars feeding in. That swampland in FL was a coup.

Yes - I know I was told time and again that a hotel would be better than off property. But for 9 of us for 9 days we needed a house with a kitchen.

It doesn’t matter that we can mobilize and be out the door before 6 when the garage isn’t even open...

If anyone has any other hints I’ll take them.

I think you had challenges with the Uber suggestion because of car seats? If so, not sure what to recommend other than ordering a limo service each day to and from the parks?

For the booster seat question, have you looked at Mifold or Bubblebum travel boosters? (They appear to be much less expensive on Amazon.com than on their own websites.) People here have reported great success using Uber, Lyft, and other car services with these. They put them in tote bags, strollers, or a locker during the day, then bring them out again for the ride back to the hotel. For next time, you might want to look into a hotel like the Residence Inn Maingate. I think they have 2 bedroom suites with a full kitchen. So that would include 2 bedrooms, a sofa bed downstairs, several bathrooms, the full kitchen, hot breakfast included daily, great staff (they'll put away your perishable groceries!), walking distance and also on the ART route, etc. This is the older RI (newer one is on Katella, just west of Harbor, by the Convention Center), so the rates might be better. The Desert Palms has a suite that sleeps 12, I think. DISers have reported good experiences with that one. That hotel is just across from the newer RI on Katella. With your kind of touring style, walking distance to the parks gives you the biggest advantage with the least stress. There are time shares that rent to non-members. The WorldMark (?) is one. They are a little further out, but could be walking distance to the Toy Story parking lot (so, free shuttles) or, again, you could use Uber or Lyft. And I think you're seeing why we recommend that people plan down days between full park days -- you really need that time to decompress where you don't drive anywhere or line up for anything or plan one more thing for a day so you can recharge! Hang in there! Thinking of you and your family and sending good thoughts!

Homewood suites also has a full kitchen. Thats where we stay with our kids.

How much did you pay for the house? At HS I think there’s 6 max per room so you’d need a family suite (5 beds and a sofa) $280/night with 7 night stay discount bookend 9 mos out. Then you’d need a regular suite. Not sure the price.

I think you mentioned in another post that your DH isn't quite the Disney fan that you are. In that case, can he drop the rest of you off at the Harbor drop off, then park the car by himself? He can meet up with you later at a pre-arranged spot. That would get the rest of your group in line for bag check, the gates, then rope drop earlier. DH can park, reward himself at Starbucks, then meet you to hear all about your first ride. Would this work?
