Hey everybody,
We just overnighted our closing documents. So, I guess we can say we are DVC members now!! I am so excited & can't wait to make my first ressies.
Question...about how long will it take for us to be in the system???
Finally......DVC here we come.

I'm not sure about the time frame if you bought resale, if you bought from Disney you can make ressies now.

When we purchased (resale) I called numerous times before DVC had the records and it was official. I can't remember how long it was, but it was less time than I expected. They may have to wait until the deed is recorded.

I think I made my first reservation within a couple hours of when I was entered into the system.

For a resale, you are usually "in the system" within 10 business days after your actual closing. You may need to get the Member Services phone number from your realtor or closing agent and start calling MS after about a week.

When we closed, we were "in the system" in name only at 9 days, meaning we were in the computer, but no points had been posted to the account. The points went in the next day.

Be sure to double-check the points to be sure they are correct. They do make rare mistakes, and it's a lot easier to get issues resolved quickly.
