.... we've just booked flights for the end of November. Can't wait to see Christmas again! Now we just need to pick a hotel ... onsite just seems ridiculous (we have APs so package deal is no good) ... last year I found the Cheyenne for about £80 but no such luck this time. Any idea if room only appears on ebookers and the like closer to the date? Is it worth hanging on?

definitely worth hanging on - first winter trip I booked room only onsite I couldn't do it until early September, as the rooms weren't released for sale until then to the likes of expedia, ebookers etc.

you might get lucky and find the French DLP site comes out with a flash sale for your dates, that could give you 50% off and would make a one-adult package a good deal (they did last year - the flash sale was in early October, for trips in late October/November):).

I had a feeling it might be worth the wait ... thank you for confirming it (and hopefully late November is not so popular that we'll still get an offsite at a reasonable price if we don't see a deal) I checked the one adult price on the UK site but it was over £300 for 2 nights at the Santa Fe and this is supposed to be a cheeky cheap trip to renew our annual passes so was hoping for a bit less than that!

if the same flash sale comes up on the French site later, you could get the Santa Fe for your 2 nights for less than £190 for a one-adult package (I remember being very impressed with the price of £186 on the same flash sale last year for November, but I couldn't sort out the travel/time off work to make it work for me. I'm sure that was for 3 nights too.

eta - just had a look at the current French offer (30% off and free kids under 12) - for late november midweek 30% off for 2 nights at the Santa Fe is 239 euros, so if you got that at 50% off it would be around 170 euros?

We paid 186 euros last year(so about 140 pounds) for 2 nights midweek in november at the Cheyenne. This was also booked on a flash sale (belgium one) So worth hanging if you are happy offsite if no deal does come

will bear that it mind, thank you :) we are looking for Friday and Saturday night which I appreciate brings the cost up. At present the Hipark is looking promising (we stayed there in April and were very happy with it) so if nothing comes onsite I won't be too upset, it would just be nice to be a little closer in the colder weather!
