I'm hopefully booking my first trip to Disney land Paris soon! I will be going in June with my friend. My family think I'm nuts, as they think its for kids (we will both be 23 at time of travel) I'm going for a package deal with Thomas cook which includes, 4 nights at the Santa Fe hotel (budget!) flights from Exeter and half board.
I have been to Disney in Florida a number of years ago.
Any tips for me? This is going to be the longest 5 months of my life!

I'd like to take my DSLR camera with me, are there any photography restrictions? How easy is the transfer from the airport to Disney? :) any advice you can give would be great.

DLP is great as an adult - there're a lot of very good rides that I wouldn't have gone on when I was a kid (Space Mountain, Rock and Roller Coaster, ToT) - and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun!

I've not done the airport-Disney transfer but I've taken the TGV from Lille-MLV (which stops by CDG airport), and it's only 10 minutes by TGV between CDG and MLV. If you have a look on the SNCF website http://www.sncf.co.uk/ (this is the UK version) you might be able to get an idea of train timings and prices. I think there's also a shuttle bus?

Only photo restrictions are on certain rides as per most theme parks. I gave up taking my DSLR with me as its heavy to lug around the parks all day.

Thanks for the replies! Well we are all booked! Fly out on June 3rd for 4 nights. We are going on the Paris day trip on one of the days. The tour includes a river cruise :)

We weren't sure what to do food wise? Wether to purchase the half board option which would allow us to get dinner, or to just buy food when we are there. The standard half board is £88 for 4 nights. Any suggestions? :)

Unless you want to stick to only the restaurants in your category then I wouldn't bother with the meal plan, unless you really want to get your food paid for upfront. It's still a good idea to make reservations if you want to try out the buffet or table services restaurants.

Have a look at the menus on www.dlrpmagic.com to get an idea of the choices you have. There are lots of nice places to choose from.

Oh, and DLP is definitely not just for kids! DH and I are going on our own in September and I can't wait!

Thanks! I think we will leave out the package deal, so we have more freedom. I mean if we ate at somewhere that is €18 it works out cheaper then the plan!

Welcome to the Disneyland Paris Trip Planning & Community Board Jazzy B Bunny :)

If you have not had a look yet, the DIS posting guidelines can be found here and our DLP board posting rule is here

Which airport are you flying into? It's probably Charles De Gaulle, so that gives you the option of the VEA shuttle bus, the TGV or private shuttle/taxi. You can find more information about all these options in the Travelling to DLP by Plane thread in the Useful Info sticky at the top of the page, and just ask if you have got any questions.

You will have a great time. :goodvibes Wish I was 23 again!!

Thanks :) any idea on park opening times from June 3rd? Can only find up to February. (Unless I've totally missed it) I assume the dreams evening show will still be on :)

The park hours for June won't be out for ages yet on the DLP site. However, as Dreams will still be running every night in June, and they don't start it until its dark, you could be in for a 10pm or even 11pm park close for the main park every night (we were there in June, the week after you are going this year, and the park was open until 11pm every night :)).

Is there much in the way of Lion King or Lilo & Stitch merchandise availble at DLP? I collect mainly lion king things but also a few bits and bobs of stitch!

Bought a money pot to save pennies! Going to need lots of them! Better not take too much in the way of clothes... Need space for souvenirs :rolleyes1
