So EXCITED...mom let something slip!

So tonight my mom calls to tell me that my dad has a conference in Orlando from August 29-Sept 1 and wants to know if I want to join them so she and I can play at Disney while dad works. She knows Dbf (hopefully soon DF) can't go cause of his schedule but they'd love to take me and we'd fly out on Aug 27 and come home Sept 2, since my schedule worked out that I only have classes this semester on Wednesday and Thursdays and everything else is online...yay for almost being done with the masters degree! So anyway...do I want to go with them...they'll pay for everything...ummm mom DUH!!!! Heck ya I wanna go! Then mom and dad let something slip...she says hey why we go to the DFTW Open House on the 28th? I say ahhhh that would be great!!! Then I say oh I wish the engagement were official and we could REALLY start planning...I was on speakerphone and in the background I hear dad say "By then you will be" Mom shushed him quickly but I still heard him!!!!!!! My dad's voice sounded so excited for me, it was so sweet! I think he's just as excited to give me my dream wedding as I am to have it!!! Now, I have about a month to think CONSTANTLY about when Dbf is going to pop the question! And then I get to go to WDW and go to the Open House and start planning the wedding I've been dreaming of since I was 10 years old!!!!

Awww, gotta love parents.

My mom kept hinting to me to make sure I dressed nice on the cruise every night bc who knew what we would be celebrating. LOL! She's not the best secret keeper. My now hubby proposed on the formal night of our cruise in April 2009.

How exciting!! It's a little sad that now it wont be a complete surprise, but who cares?!? It's still exciting!!

Ooooh, maybe your DBF is just "saying" he can't go, but he's going to turn up at Disney and surprise you there!!

Congrats!! Good luck, Im sure he will make all your dreams come true! Take lots of pics at the open house and post them!! i had no clue my DF was gonna do it, he was dragging the process on for too long (to toy with me i think) couldnt be happier for you, enjoy every moment of the trip!

Aww, parents are fantastic! My dad almost did the same thing to me when DF proposed- he was || this close to spilling the beans but my mom ran and shushed him.

Yay! That's so exciting! I know what that waiting feels like...I found out that my DF was planning on proposing a couple weeks before he did it, and I was waiting for it to happen every. single. day. Congratulations!! I'll be at the Open House too, maybe I'll see you there!

Thanks for all the congrats ladies! I am so excited and very anxious!!! No clue when he might do it but I'll be waiting! I'll be sure to post pictures of the proposal and of the Open House! Yay for a kinda impromptu getaway to Disney as well!!!
