so excited I've booked! 1st cruise & adult trip to the world

Ok so as the title says hubby came home tonight and we booked!! Adult only trip For May 2015....

We've never done a cruise, and our boys are desperate to do 7 nights on fantasy in 2016! I wanted to make sure they would like it,and so would we for 7 nights!
so we're doing 4 nights on the dream to have a taster of ship life,
I've wanted a trip on there ever since I auditioned for disney cruise line as a dancer and face character at pineapple studio back when I was 19,
I was successful and was cast as tinkerbell and Alice in wonderland.
however I got quite sick after rehearsals just before I was due to start at sea and ended up doing disney Paris Instead for a term,due to needing to be closer for treatments.

So it will be really special to be on ship,and alittle sad too,

We're also doing Akl after for 9 nights.
With free ddp.
And to top it off we got our flights tonight for £200 each!! With virgin using miles I'm beyond happy.

Guilt is already eating at me though about not taking my boys who will be 10,10,12 but they had so much time off school with 16 nights last November and 3wks off in June for disney trips, and I want time with hubby as he is top of the deployment list right now meaning 6 months away anytime from when we get back.
Plus we never had a honeymoon as we got married in disney with all the family then decided last minute to take our boys on our actual honeymoon to Egypt at the last minute lol.

A 4 night cruise is a great way to start , as you get to enjoy a sea day. Be warned though DCL can become addictive I'm booked on number 8 next year lol

Akl is also an amazing resort , it's also perfect for an adult only trip. I loved after a busy day at the parks sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the animals.

So many people keep telling me I've booked wrong and should have done the cruise last as I won't enjoy disney as much after relaxing,however hubby and I have done disney so many times for many wks at a time, even doing 6 at one point when I was younger,
And so we don't rush our disney time,
I don't think I could have gotten off the ship,knowing I'm going home without a last look.at the world and to then do nothing much until the flight.

We know we will book for 7 nights on the fantasy to take our boys in 2016! I can tell I'll love it lol

Great news cindy. You will lovvve it. What are your dates? We are at aklv from 15-20th before wlv. You are doing the right thing. I think you are on such a high after the cruise and nice to know you have more to look forward to. We did 5 nights okw 4 cruise 6 aklv when dave was alive. Brilliant.

Hi Alison,
We're going to be at AKL from the 8th till the 17th, would love to meet for a drink!! Since at some point we should be close,such a shame we don't over lap a little more as it only leaves the day you arrive plus the 16th and till after lunch of the 17th.
