So excited...got waitlisted AKV for Christmas!

We are so excited! We book out Christmas trip a few weeks ago and could olnly get SSR(our home resort) for Christmas. We expected this sinces it a busy time of year but we asked to be put on the waitlist for AKV and WLV. Our 180 days were up on Sunday so I logged on to check our Reservation # so we could call and get out dinner ADRS for Christmas and notices they changed our reservation to AKL savana view. We were all ready looking forward to stay at SSR but this is even better. We also got all our reservations for my birthday 12/22 at Le Cellier, Christmas eve( 1900 Park Fare) and Christmas day (Atrist point) and the last day for the MVMCP tickets.

Do you know how hard it would be to get into SSR or OKW for Dec 21 - 23? We are thinking of joining, but I was wondering if we would be able to book those dates or if they are sold out already.

That sounds like a wonderful Christmas time vacation! Those would be my 3 choices regarding places to eat, too! Except we do want to try Jiko's.

I think you still have a good chance at SSR, the most popular resorts at Christmas from what I hear is the WLV and probably now the AKV. I would make your ressies soon because now you can start booking ADR's for Christmas and apparently they fill up fast for Christmas eve and Christmas day.

I thought AKV was short rooms? Sounds like some are available.

We are going from Dec 21-26. Maybe we will see you there. Did you get the Savanna room? Our ADR for 1900 parke Fare I think is around 6pm Christmas eve, we have never been there so looking forward to it.

No, we did not get a Savanna room.
I don't think DH even new about those rooms when he booked the trip.
I had just told him to call & see if he could get AKV...I never even thought about views..I guess we could put in a request. I'm just happy we'll be at AKV!

We've been to 1900 PF about 5 times.
We love it!
My DD12 is in love with Prince Charming there!
We'll probably get to the GF at least an hour before our ADR that night, just so we can take a walk around the resort. It will be beautiful!

The family loves the buffet at 1900 PF..but DGD (3) was so freaked out by Prince Charming last year!!! It was totally unexpected...however every other character everywhere else was accepted, no problem. We're trying it again, in October...we think it will be better, last year...gradually, as she watched him go around...she seemed to understand that he was OK, but definitely, she wasn't in love with him.
